Hey,
I know there's been some of these in the past, but since songs and tastes change, I figured favorite songs would as well . Anyways, right now mine are:

Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol
Apologize by One Republic
If Everyone Cared by Nickelback
Bubbly by Colbie Caillat

For me, add:

Goodbye Apathy by One Republic
Leave out all the rest by Linkin Park
Cry for you by September
I think she knows/Interlude by Justin Timberlake (*gasp*)
Bubbly by Colbie Caillat

My preferences shifted from somewhat rougher rock to somewhat calmer rock, kinda like what Linkin Park did .

I like too much music to list here individually. I can't say any one song that is my favorite. Some days I love a certain song other days I don't want to hear it.

Nice song-- I didn't know who sang that.

Here's my fave songs of the moment:

Albano Carrisi - Nessun Dorma - Absolutely stunning rendition of classic song. I want this played at my funeral. Nearly brings a tear to my eye.

Justice - Phantom Pt. II

Justice - Genesis - The next Daft Punk?

K-Os - Man I Used to Be - Toronto rapper

Beck - Cellphone's Dead

Beck - Timebomb - Warning--- one loud swear word at the start.

Mika - Grace Kelly

Yeah Iris is a good one too .

@Grandma: I like the musical part of Nocturne, sounds a bit like a soundtrack for a movie or game.

@Matt Rock: I can honestly say I've never heard of a single one of those .

@Jeku: Lol, it goes from a nice slow classical like song to metal/punk.

T.O.E. : Are You Looking Up? (Great ending, means something to me)
Killers : When We Were Young (Good one to sing along to)
Whitesnake : Is This Love? (Awesome)
Muse : Knights of Cydonia (It's like Queen have returned - properly.)
Guns 'n' Roses : Civil War (Awesome, again)
The Doobie Bros. : Long Train Runnin' (Unbeatable guitar and good vocals)
Snow Patrol : Warmer Climate (The only song on that album that isn't D-C-D-C-D-C-D-C-D-C or C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C all the way through. Don't see what I mean? Play tracks 1, 5, 9, 10 - they all start with the same one-note riff)

Rapid texture streaming, Pixel shaders gleamin',

See, I promised someone I'd stop complaining about today's youth, so I'll bite my tongue hahaha. But I hope you guys know most of the bands I named. For instance, if you're a fan of Green Day or Blink 182, but you've never heard of Reverend Horton Heat or Face to Face, you're not a genuine punk fan . You can probably find videos to most of those artists on you tube... probably not the songs themselves, most of them were never singles (well, in the US anyway). I know for a fact some have videos... Hyperballad by Bjork, The Distance by Cake, Dreaming of You by The Coral, a handful of others. I dunno, if I listen to one genre of music for too long I start to suffer manic boredom .

Uh...I like a hell of a lot of music so I'll just list of a few of my more recent favorites(limiting myself to 3 per band, I have trouble selecting small numbers of songs))..

Note: Majority of the music I listen to tends to be explicit...it happens

Blind Guardian - Valhalla(Live) //CD version just doesnt compare
Blind Guardian - Battlefield
Blind Guardian - Under The Ice
Nightwish - Nemo
Nightwish - Higher Than Hope
Nightwish - Sleeping Sun
Coal Chamber - Beckoned
Coal Chamber - Empty Jar
Coal Chamber - Alienate Me //Throw the entire Dark Days album on the list there, screw it
Amon Amarth - Pursuit of Vikings
Amon Amarth - Runes To My Memory
Amon Amarth - Under The Northern Star
Static-X - Control It
Static-X - Otsego Amigo
Static-X - Permanence
Flaw - Turn The Tables
Flaw - Worlds Divide
Flaw - Get Up Again
Arch Enemy - We Will Rise
Arch Enemy - Dead Eyes See No Future
Avenged Sevenfold - Almost Easy
Avenged Sevenfold - Seize The Day
Disturbed - Violence Fetish
Disturbed - I'm Alive

And my list is getting kinda long here so I'll just stop.

One of the most difficult questions to answer, so I'll just pick a few from my iPod:

Amon Amarth: Hermod's Hide to Hel
Iced Earth: Ten Thousand Strong
Pink Floyd: Welcome to the Machine
Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard: Patricide (I can do classical too )
Gary Moore: Parisienne Walkways
Dream Theater: Ministry of Lost Souls
Apocalyptica: Coma
Behemoth: Horns of Baphomet
Coal Chamber: El Cu Cuy
Haggard: Herr Mannelig
Opeth: Master's Apprentices
My Dying Bride: L'amour Detruit
The Rolling Stones: Paint it black
Saxon: Crusader
Skunk Anansie: Weak
Soil: Halo
Symphony X: Divine Wings of Tragedy
Otis Taylor: [Can think of a song name]
System of a Down: Chic n' stu
The Tarja's: Ite Missa Est
Ted Maul: For the Innocent (Interesting song, dedicated to those who have suffered from terrorism...kind of contradicts what these anti extreme-metal nannies say about the style of music)
Therion: Lemuria
Type-o-Negative: Dead Again

And the list goes on and on...'favourite' and 'music' doesn't do it for me, perhaps 'music you're currently listening to' would be more suitable on the account of my huge taste.

It takes blood and guts to be this cool, but I'm still just a cliche

Seppuku...one of these days we have to just sit down and trade bands until we run out of ones that one of us haven't heard of. You seem to be into the same basic music as I'm into nowadays.

Ahah, well in that case tune into my online radio show as I'm back on air this week...I'm planning a second show, so watch out for that too.

My show basically is compiled of my music and my presenter's music (hers is mostly classic rock) I'll be doing an announcement on my Metal special soon anyway. But my show is on Friday's 17:00 - 19:00 GMT (UK Time) I should be planning to play some songs off of my list there this week, though I can't tell you what I'm playing as I'm not allowed.

Also, the most important thing, the radio station link (The hours the station is aired a between 9:00 and 21:00 on week days):

Cheers

Favourite song is to hard, favourite album would be easier . I'll just pick a few random songs that come straight to mind:

Lazarus - Porcupine Tree.
Street Spirit - Radiohead (though anything from The Bends would do, there all equally great).
Flight Test - The Flaming Lips.
Paint it Black - Rolling Stones.
My Gift of Silence - Blackfield.
Baba O'Riley - The Who.
Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd.
Sworn and Broken - Screaming Trees.
Will You Follow Me? - Rob Dougan (there isn't a proper music video for this one, this is the best I could find which has Final Fantasy footage to it for some reason).
Grace - Jeff Buckley.

Indeed, they sit somewhere up top on my must see live list. You should check out Blackfield if you haven't already, it's one of Steve Wilsons side projects. Their similar to porcupine Tree but more mellow.

Street Spirit is my favorite song on the Bends. Not a big fan of Grace by Jeff Buckley though, it's one of the songs by him that's, I dunno, a little too artsy for my tastes. Then again, it's Jeff Buckley lol.
