Is it even possible to have a trigger zone place the player in a zone on another map?

I know this is easier if I just adjusted the levels so they only took one or two layers each (then using plrmoveto), but this looks bland and I wish to see if one could go to seperate maps, effectively allowing the player to 'backtrack'.

No, nein, nyente, non, no.....

You can't, there is no LOADLEVEL=happyworlrd command, so I'm sorry, but you just can't...

Hey, can't blame me for tryin'.

I apologize for your spelling of 'world'.

And, on a happier note, I've found a simple workaround.

The best workaround that can be accomplished as of now, would be:

Make certain parts of your maps "overlap". Meaning, recreate part of the last level into the new level, so that the player feels as though they haven't moved anywhere.

Precisely.
Originally, I wished to have the player be able to 'backtrack', but by simply creating that bit of overlap, I can influence the players perception.

coffee grunt, Plystire, I thank you for the time that it took you to read this. Perhaps in future I can attempt to modify the source, but, until then...

@Necrophear:

I'm currently modding the source, and believe me... you don't want to try coding a "LOADLEVEL=X" script command.

For starters, it would always have to load the player up at the beginning marker in the map, which wouldn't allow you to do what you're looking for anyway. And, the fact that I'm willing to bet that your second level's starting cell isn't in the exact same position as your first level's ending cell, you couldn't really tell it to go off of that, either.

Exactly why I'm not trying this now.
