Its just a Fresnel or water shader, I could program that in FPS Creator in 10 minutes. But still, it looks nice.

No you can not swim...but still its a nice effect. eyecandy. Perhaps if you use it you have to make sure that the player cant walk into the water...or just make him die if he tries.

Prince of Darkness...
You could do that in 10 minutes ?
well...could you implement a working bloom shader in 10 minues, too ?
now..THAT ...would be cool.
Not the bloom posted in this forum before...cause it didnt work right.

I can't get the mod to work right. Every time I press + or - in a test game it gets an error... and the water level doesn't lower or raise at all.

@ PoD:

Doubt it, it takes a good amount of tweaking, and the FPSC source is a mess.

Where do you think the search feature is for in the DBP editor?

Bloom is alot different from water shaders, Bloom is a fullscreen shader. Best result I ever had with a bloom one, made the screen go wacky when moving.(Besides, Bloom + Fresnel Water = Pure Evil, it won't work very well)

I agree, bloom is a waste of time if you are combining with a fresnel shader. Oh and I would agree with PoD on the simpleness of implementing water into FPSC, especially if it is REALLY just a simple plain with a fresnel shader set on it, I don't see how the fact that someone gets a water plain the whole size of the level working with fresnel can excite anyone at all, personally I think the fact that you can't have water in one place, and then not have water in another place, aka where YOU want it is very restricting. Don't kid yourself, expect something of suitable substance from Lemur on this accord.

I don't think it was the fact that it was Urlforce, more the fact that another DB Programmer said it. Well thats the reason i didn't question it anyway as i have no experience of DBP so i wouldn't know what im talk about.

Working on...

the exit bug is known, seems to be a problem with the Editor (i think we don't talk about the same problem...)
the next release is based on v1.07

but like i said in the other EFX Mod thread: currently, i don't have got the time to work on it continuously.

Maybe you didn't read the features... the water surface it controllable per script

And my personal tip:

(Just a sample!)

Change the water height with the efx_water_plrinzone_set_to_ifused.fpi (-> Main Script of a trigger zone) when exiting a room (maybe you have to do a workaround not to see the water surface jumping up or down)

So you can have multiple water height's and you'll not see it's just one surface just moved up or down (if it's done correctly)

Yes- But it is just a plain, ie the WHOLE waterlevel goes up and down, all across the level.....

...and it's locked for no reason

the same happened to another thread

and that's the reason why i decided to announce new features and post new links/projects/downloads in the german forum only. Sorry, but if i don't get reasons, i won't post reasons about that.

See you some time - maybe not.

If you're angry about that - then talk to the moderators.

Bye,

Just how many threads do you need on the same darn subject? Why start a new thread about it?Maybe you should think about the other people whose stuff gets pushed down every time you make an unnecessary thread.
Just because we don't let you post whatever you want regardless of the content or just because we don't let you post about the same thing over and over doesn't make us bad people.
No moderator locks a thread for no reason and if you have an issue with a thread being locked and common sense does not tell you why please e-mail a moderator.

Please have mercy and use the search function.

In fact, i did not start the last thread that was locked.

There was no unlocked thread for the EFX Mod itself!

The original "Nothing is impossible" was locked for no reason - what have i done that this happens? Too big pictures?

Quote: "It's your fault if you cannot post properly not mine or anybody else's.If everybody took responsibility for their actions the world would be a better place."

My fault? Show me what i did the wrong way and i'll accept it.

But now, i did my decision.

Good bye.

This was my last post for a long time on the forums.

FredP don't blame things on other members if you didn't check who made the threads in the first place. And I'm going to Nighthawk here the first Helix mod thread was locked for no reason. The pictures wasn't to big. And if I remember rightly bumping up a thread from a long time isn't against the AUP so if thats that then you locked it for no reason at all. And yes LT Tatters made the newest thread which was locked again, for no reason at all! Atleast let one thread of this mod through.

Sorry if I sounded harsh but I find it the truth.

Here's the deal.He said he didn't understand why his threads kept getting locked.I explained it.Who is or is not responsible for the thread is irrelevant.
If you wish to post and keep your posts on topic that is fine.
If you want to post about anything else don't bother.
Now I have been nice. The only thing I did was lock a duplicate thread (which is not uncommon).Give me a break.
