Hey there...

The last days I have been working on, how to import an normal map (quake map, unreal map etc.) into FPSC, because i think there is much better possibilities, in making maps with a normal level editor.

And it actually worked for me. I imported a tiny map into FPSC X10, using Magic FPS 2 with only 1 texture, imported as a entity.

But that was just a testmap. I want to import my "real" maps into FPSC X10 using a lot of textures.

Because I want to import a big map with a lot of textures, I simply can't use Magic FPS because it can't save, when the map is big and you simply can't have more than 1 texture.

So what I did was trying to import the map, using the FPSC Segment Editor but without luck. When I import the map to FPSC, it does not appear when I test the level.

Could anybody help me with this issue?

I have attached some screenshots, that show you exactly how i imported the map into FPSC.

Thanks in advance

I am importing the map into AC3D. The map is a Quake 3 Map (BSP).

I export the map as a Direct X map, which is compatible with FPS Creator.

I open the map by clicking the mesh button, and voila...the map is imported with all it's texture (the texture is in the same folder as the x-file)

I copy the meshbank folder and segment folder from the segment editor bank, and paste them into the FPSC X10 bankfolder.

NB: If you wonder why it's called "kopier" when you "copy", it's because the windows is in danish

In opened FPS Creator X10 and clicked on add new segment. Then I choose the segment I saved with the Segment Editor.

Now the map is imported into FPSC, but it's very weired. I dosen't look like my map at all and there is no texture

Anyway I placed the start marker in the center of the map, and tested the game level.

Just having a guess.
I thought the segment editor only supports 1 textures map, so I see that is a problem.
also you may have to cut the map into sections, perhaps that is causing problems as fpsc may count it as one big mesh, not as many, so may cause problems, also one may have to look at the normals, perhaps this makes errors.
