So i got my new laptop a dual core, 8800gtx, thats all fine, installed some games, some software, runs awesome, everything works,

but when i attempt to copy backed up dark basic folder with all my stuff, it gives me a bsod and shuts down the same thing happens when i try to run my old version of carmageddon 2 also baccked up with all my mods.

i have not tried fresh installation of either of them yet (i will ) the reason for this preference is that both of those things have tons of other sstuff modifications that that wold take a while to reinstall and piece together.

now both of these things DB and carmageddon have been copied over to places many times. Is it possible that over time, copying files can degrade or break them or anything?

I reinstalled dark basic to this laptop, but it still gives me a bsod when i compile. Does dark basic possibly have a problem with a dual core cpu or the graphics card?
