Hi, I havnt posted here in a while and while browsing around yesterday I found that I completely missed the 2007 text game contest. Having not very much programming expirience(only messed around with sprites and such) this sounds really fun and I was wondering if there would be a 2008 contest and when it would be?

ps. Please let me know if this is the wrong place to post this, I wasnt really sure where. Also I had posted this before but when I tried to post it the page came up as an error so please excuse me if I double posted or something like that

I haven't spent much time thinking about the 2008 Text Adventure Competition just yet, but this spring I'll start planning it and getting things organized for it. Expect news on it to be posted in Geek Culture in a few months, when we get closer to doing it. But yes, we'll definitely be holding a Text Adventure Competition this year, as always .

For future reference, this should have probably gone in either Game Design Theory (where the contest takes place) or in Geek Culture. I look forward to seeing your entry in this year's competition

Thank you for letting me know I will definitely enter, is it against the rules in any way to enter a game that I have worked on prior to the time you announce the contest?

Super Cool Guys!

So long as your entry doesn't break any of the contests rules, it's fine. And there isn't any rule about when you can start... people who missed last year's competition will more than likely enter this year's. Good luck, can't wait to see the game
