Have you ever been flamed by simply posting in this board and have no idea why?
What about having a thread locked for apparently no reason?
Perhaps you've simply asked a question that made someone angry?

If you answered "yes" to any of the above questions then you may want to read further.

Some of the reasons many people become angry very quickly around here is that some posts are posted many many times, to the point where they just can't control themselves anymore.

How can we avoid such problems?

For starters, consider that this is the "FPSC Scripts" board, and thusly, your post MUST pertain to scripting in FPSC. If it does not, then try to find a board more suitable to your question(s) or contributions. If no board seems to match what it is you are looking for, then play it safe and post it in "FPSC Chat".

If your question(s) or contributions do pertain to FPSC scripting, then before posting you should:

Use the "Forum Search" tool at the bottom of the currently viewable page and make a few searches for what it is you are wanting to know about. More often than not, you will find that other people in the past have asked similar questions and you may find your answer without having to post about it!

If you failed to find the answer you were looking for or any contributions similar to your own, then it may be time to post about it! However, before posting please keep in mind the following:

Many people can lose their temper simply because of your posts content. To help ensure that your post will not only help you, but others as well, you should include the following in your post:

- A descriptive Subject, as this will help later people to search for your thread and find any information, thus keeping the board cleaner and more orderly.

- If you have a question and have already searched for the answer, please include your findings inside the post as well as why the findings were not helpful. If your search failed to find anything relevant to your question, then let us know what search words you used and also make a note that it did not return anything.

- Finally, if you are having trouble with a specific script, please post the script, in it's entirety within "code" tags. Give as much of a detailed description as you can in concerns to: What is the script intended to accomplish? What does it currently do? What is it that it's doing that it SHOULDN'T be doing?

Things of this nature will help the forumers here to help you. The more descriptive you can be about a problem, the more help we will be able to provide and in a quicker amount of time.

Also, when posting about anything, remember to be kind, courteous, and respectful of your fellow forum-dwellers, and they will return the favor.
