That's right, like a minute ago I got into top 1000 on Score Hero for Rocks the 80s! Currently ranked 998th (click for my scores) and I barely started playing today. Let's see if I can't take one of the two missing stars this evening, depends on how long my fret hand lasts.

Nice work. I currently play Frets on Fire though, because I need the moneys for my PC.

Guitar Hero is pretty much the only thing I've spent my money on lately. And I'm currently stuck with a poor old laptop and a stationary that I left at my parents house.

While I'm posting I might as well mention that I really don't like GH3, I just find it quite boring to play compared to the other 3. And my friend who I play with sometimes agrees with me.

My GH3 came with a wired X-Plorer with squeaky/sticky buttons, a whammy bar that rotates under the influence of gravity and a strum bar that can be heard in the town centre. I've made a couple of adjustments, but it's still rubbish. I have to play Frets on Fire, because GH3 was not programmed very well and I'm yet to see a PC system manage to hold a framerate or stay in sync with the music.

My friend has the first one, I feel like camping in his yard, so I can play.

NeX:
If the whammy bar keeps dropping you can always turn in the guitar, unless you have made modifications to the guitar. If the music is off sync I would return the whole game because that's unplayable.

Keo C:
Well GH1 (if that's what you mean?) is an OK game, a lot of really good songs. The only problem with GH1 is that hammer-ons and pull-offs are very hard to do so it's very difficult to play well on Expert as well as higher tiers on Hard. That's the best change they did with GH2. 80s made it even easier and GH3 easier still (while the selective system is horrible).

I think there was a reason it was only £40 brand new... it sucks!
Although I have had the guitar open, to reseat the Strum Bar after it came out, you can't tell.

The whammy on my first black SG broke and somehow I got a new one after like 4-8 weeks (can't remember). I don't know on the red SG or the newer guitars but there was this little plastic peg that was sort of the link from the whammy to the reader, and that peg broke. From normal use I might add. When I bought GH2 at a store and the whammy didn't stay put I returned it for a new one. Now I got 2 red SGs (got a red after sending in my black) and they are pretty much fully working. On one the whammy doesn't always go all the way back so it sounds funny and the other got a squeaky strum bar. A cordless one wouldn't hurt but I'm not wasting my money when what I got works.

Currently ranked 939 Ranked top 1000 in both the 3rd and 4th tiers! That 5th star on Caught in a Mosh still illudes me.

If I find a friend with GH2, I'll move my tent in to his yard.

I have a real guitar, so who wants to move their tent in my backyard? I can play Alice Cooper and Cream, definitely worth a go...

Just kidding, I though GH3 was pretty good, well if you guys are saying its bad, well then if I pick up 1,2 or 80s then I suppose I'll be thrown by the awesomeness...right?

Though not worth the price when you already have one GH game.

It takes blood and guts to be this cool, but I'm still just a cliche

YAY! I finally full-comboed (no misses) "The Warrior". Well, not like I've been trying hard or anything, not played it for ages (pre GH3). I got the FC after the 3rd try today. I can't squeeze so I'm only ranked 409th. 930 overall though

Seppuku Arts:
GH3 for me have bad sound quality, a sound bug on 2 stages and I just don't like the set list as much. Once you have bought one guitar (for PS2 or 360 I hope?) you can just buy a game without. It's fun to play two though, if you have someone to play with. Not found anyone who can challenge me though, that's why I find Score Hero to be so much fun.

I just got 100% on "I ran" and into the top 1000 on tier 1. No FC though, this song got a whole line of tight green notes and it's so easy to over- or under-strum.

Overall Rank: 915th

Only got like 3000 points so far today and 2 ranks (888). I'm tired of 80s now. Next weekend I'll try getting back into top 2000 on GH2.

I wish I could find the 'You are not ironman' comic strip...

Anyway:

Unfortunately the guitar is for the Wii, so no older games (I think, besides I'm living at two addresses, the Wii is at the other) As for playing against people, well that'd be fun if I had a 360 guitar and then I could kick my classmate's butt on his 360 - but hey, we're all moving in together next year, so you never know, I might be able to lose at two player!

Also, has anybody actually beaten Dragon Force on expert?

I'll gladly exchange my PC Guitar Hero 3 (with a 360 controller) for your Wii GH3. I imagine that it's much better, what with its buttons that do not stick.

DA, did you find any decent song on the 80s one? I bought it last week, finished the career mode on easy (hadn't played any of them for a while) but am finding it hard to get back to it because I'm not too impressed by the song list, even though I'm an 80s fan.

Probably because you knew it was VGCats, I don't read geek comics I'm afraid...I find other ways to procrastinate. But yes that's the one.

Funny

Kentaree:
I like almost every song in 80s

Seppuku Arts:
I had this nice 5 step explanation on how I found the strip but TGC messed up and I don't wanna type it again. And no, I don't read VG Cats.

80's is kinda lame to me, the songs are rediculously easy, sure most of 'em have solos that drive me insane but, over all, not near as fun as any other GH game.

Ahah, a master of the interwebs, I usually do 2 or 3 steps, 1: Open up google 2: Type in keywords 3: Search the interwebs!

So 5 steps is mighty impressive.

It didn't turn up when I searched, I obviously over looked it.

Troy Chambers:
Since there are only 30 songs there are bound to be less hard songs then the other games but there are at least 4 hard songs, to get 5 stars on that is (I'm missing 2). If you have played GH1 and GH2 then it's no surprise 80s will feel a bit easy.

Seppuku Arts:
Step 1 was searching on Google
