Im exporting truespace 6 files out as .x files and then use them in my game. I have multitexture object and very large models, yet when I load them into darkbasic, they come out with a single texture with little detail. How can I solve this?

Are all the textures in the same folder as the model?

You need to properly UV map the model. Use Ultimate Unwrap 3D.

Thetextures are fine, its just that if I have red and white stripes, the whole thing is red, and if I load planks of wood, the whole thing is brown. I downloaded the software in post 3, but could someone teach me how to use it or point me towards a tutorial, thankyou very much.

You can't save in that version...
I've used LithUnwrap for UV mapping, it's free

(and Google is your friends if you need tutorials, etc.)

When you save the .x file make sure you have the ascii box checked and that you have not inadvertantly painted a face on something that you have textured already.

Just a stab in the dark...

I've had similar problems with TS5, but I admit that it was with DBC - not DBP.

The problem then turned out to be a combination of the textures not being .BMP files and their names not being in the old 8.3 DOS filename format.

Both of these problems probably don't apply any more with DBPro, but I thought it worth mentioning.
