dvd format is mpeg-2 with aac sound (or wav).

That said, no, there is no way to convert it to dvd format afaik. There may be underground software that allows you to do this.

Isn't everything you buy from iTunes restricted to iTunes and iPod?

Except for the fact that all itunes videos are drm'd and MS loves giving hand jobs to the MPAA

You can't do it without first removing the drm with underground software.

RW is more expensive and not all players supports them. Some players like DVD+R and other like DVD-R, best look in your manual to be safe.

Yeah, my DVD drive won't burn in layered discs. I can only use DVD-R/RW

Well, you also need to know what your burner supports.

http://www.dvd-tool.com/burn-itunes-video-to-dvd.html

As for your dvd burner, if you can burn dvds at all, your covered. Just go to the store and get dvd-r as long as your manual says you can use dvd-r discs in the player, otherwise you might need dvd+r media which is slightly different.
