Wondered how to make hair in Paint.net? In very few easy steps?
Well here it is..
1.Pump up paint.net(Start it)
2.Make another layer(ctrl-n)
3.Make the new layer the colour you want by filling it in.(There should be a icon on the toolbar like this
)
4.Now click (for v3.22 users) click effects>noise>noise. Take the colour saturation down to 0 e.g. moving the slider down to the left then ok.
5.Then click Effects>Blur>Motion Blur, make it so its going down.
6.Now click on the other layer and click on the darker colour of the colour you used(if the colour was black then this bit just needs to be skipped) then (for v3.22 users) render>clouds.
7.Now for the clever bit click on the second layer but double click and change the blending option to multiply.
Tips:
To make the hair a mixture of colours make another layer(ctrl-n) then use the colour you want to mix with the other colour with the gradient tool and double click on the layer then change the blending option to overlay.
For black hair you need to do just 1-6.
Adding some Relief and using one of the warp tools you can use this to make old knotted wood too.
