Apparently, you can buy this $300 kit to build a complete PC that will fit in a standard drive bay! You will, however, still need to purchase your own RAM and notebook hard drive. But for the price, this kit seems like quite the bargain, not to mention extremely cool and useful.

That's quite amazing, the size of the board on it's own is barely bigger than my debit card.

Honestly, if I had the knowledge, time, and money, I'd love to give a go at turning something like that into a handheld console. SparkFun.com seems to have lots of doodads that could be used for such a project; they even have a PSP screen, with touch screen overlay :-o
