Since there is a rather distinct lack of sci-fi content available (which is annoying when you are trying to make a game set in the future), I realised that there was no option other than to make it myself. And they do say if you want something done, best to have a go yourself.

Another thing, better get this over and done with now - I don't want my nice clean thread all clogged up:

All work in this thread if entirely my own unless explicitly stated.

If anything in here looks similar to something else, it probably inspired me, I didn't rip the textures.

I am also looking for ideas. Try to think of something general that people might want, not something that only you need. So if you have a genuinely good idea, go ahead and post. It also needs to be sci-fi related.

If I decide to sell the pack, you get your suggestion for free before anyone else. If I decide to make it free, you get it first. Simple

Crits/comments appreciated.

Very nice, good job.

I couldn't model to save my life.

How about, a futuristic tank? Or a futuristic car?

I like the look of the jet, the model isn't so impressive, but the texture is.

Here are some suggestions: An open version of the space fighter (so you can go inside through the door). And a destroyed version. Also, some sci-fi base segments and entities would be cool, armor, weapon racks, giant batteries/fuel barrels, Laser turrets and some alien segments and entities (computer consoles, holographic screens, birthing pods stuff like that). Some alien and space marine characters would be sweet too.

I try to keep the models as simple as possible, it's about 200 polies. Which has the added benefit of letting you have a whole swarm of them. Also, my main skill base lies in texturing, I find modelling can take a long time and be quite tedious.

8/10

i have a question on it tho, is the bottom all flat, so it'll sit right when you place it down? just curious

It has panels sticking out for extra detail on the base, so it ends up more or less flat. Saves me having to make/animate landing gear.

This one I made a few months ago, and it probably needs a slight re-texture, but I think it looks fairly good as is:

We do need some scifi segments. Even really simple shaped segments like:

Finally, a quality sci-fi pack.....

Since anja viotiles pack officially went vaporware, I felt that was the last time I'd hear the words "This is my new sci-fi pack I'm working on, what do you think?"

Been nearly 2 weeks, but I have been doing bits here and there.

Today I finished a pretty much total re-texture of the the modelpack 1 Swat character.

could it be possible to have a dropship? i've been looking for a dropship for ages and can't find one.

an if you want a character, avid, i have several concepts that i've been working on in sketchup (and a finished one in .x, but he's around 8000 polys... i think.)

send me an e-mail? please?

best,
-yeroc

Have you been playing Crysis? That guy looks like Nomad with a blue visor, which is great

I have in fact, but it's more inspired by the Korean nano-suit. I basically looked at it, and tried to replicate some of the little details that made it look good.

I was thinking theirs is a lot more beige-ish but, you probably don't want to copy too much hey?. This pack is way too cool, you'd have my buy in a second, except I can't buy unofficial MP's. Could we trade maybe? Now all we need is a way to control jump-hieght, speed and visibility with scripting hey? Maximum strength. Jump up land on the roof. He-he Crysis rocks! I love the intro movie so much especially the maximum armor part. It would be cool if you retextured some of the stock weapons IMO. Good luck,
