I'm looking for some circuit diagrams for the Japanese games console/computer, the NEC PC-FX. I bought one and accidently blew it up. I used an adaptor so the plug could fit in a UK socket, I bought the adaptor a few years back when I bought some neon lights from Hong Kong, but of course Hong Kong runs on 240/250v and Japan runs on 100v, so I plugged it in, big blue spark, big bang, burning smell, but thankfully it's just a capacitor that's blown. All I need are some curcuit diagrams so I can find out what value the capacitor is, I work in electronics so repairing it will be easy. I've searched through google, but to no avail. Can someone help me?

Fight the good fight of faith,

I'm guessing this cap is part of the power supply regulation circuitry, and so is most likely a barrel electrolytic type.

You should be able to determine the voltage of the capacitor by the surrounding circuitry, and as for the microfarad rating, guess what it should be based on the size, then double it to be safe.

I'm thinking more than a cap will be blown though.
