This stuff goes on all the time. There's no problem with it. In fact, if I was going to be home tonight, I would have joined. But alas I'll have to miss it.

If you set up a time and date, and it's CS 1.6 and not the source lameness, I would totally be in.

There could theoretically be two separate set ups(probably at separate times), one for the ew-source players, and one for the 1.6 players

I agree, we should petition for source to be removed from steam.

Why are so many people here against Source? Perhaps if you weren't running on a 486 you'd be able to play it. I for one prefer ad-free gameplay with realistic physics(none of that grenade sliding on the floor crap) also the game looks way better and has more players(thus more servers, possibly mods etc). Plus the skill of players really varies, if you think it's too easy then just join some mix match IRC or vent and get a game, the players you find there are usually far better than most pub ones.

Because people is stupid and follows other people opinions.. Then they start new trend like this.. Thats how the hating started.
Everybody has their own opinion but it is really stupid to still blame source.. Just say that you prefer 1.6 more.

I can run source at a constant frame rate, I've joined several matches. I just don't like it, it's too easy, everybody are not nice, I just don't like it, not as much as 1.6. Graphics mean nothing to me.

Easy? For real? Where do you play? Ever done CAL? I was in a clan for a while, we did ok. We got covered by a source radio group, which was pretty cool. It was tons of fun!

I agree though, people are generally a$$holes in source though. A lot of kiddies with lots of free times, no parents and big ego's.

I'd like to clarify that the only reason I dislike source is that I am absolutely incapable of running it on my current setup ^.^ Because of this I can't say anything about the actual game play or community. My economic status(being that it's what ultimately leads to the lack of decent setup) causes me to dislike a lot of things that I would otherwise have no problem with.

I'll try to be there. Curious though, what maps will we be doing?

I think cs_assault, de_nuke(or even de_nuke_mariteam) cs_alpin, de_inferno, de_torn, de_survivor would all be good choices.

That's the address your router gives your PC. Go to whatsmyip.net to get your internet IP address.

CZ is a single player fps. 1.6 is a multiplayer fps. Source is the newest version of cs, but the basic layout is the same as 1.6.

He probably forgot to port forward to. I don't know why so many people never heard of the difference between WAN and LAN IPs.

Once you're hosting the server, you tell it to whoever you want to play with and then they can join.

Did you set up port forwarding on your router?

They won't work on your network. Heres how it works:

76.74.154.162:27015 -> Internet

192.168.1.118:27015 -> Network or server

127.0.0.1:27015 -> Server(Your computer)

You will use the network IP while we use the internet IP.
