If you need online solution to selling your game in an online store based environment but dont want or have the 300.00 a month to pay for i can help.

The Deal:
I will soon be creating a website that includes forums and an online store from which i am willing to sell any games you make or even collections of small games.

Why:
Cause i work with a cool guy named Ron, maybe not a reason...because i was once a person with out a store and i would like to make this easier for you to get online published games.

Is it True:
Yeah i work with a cool guy named Ron...oh you mean the Store, well yeah i said this already i want to have Dark Basic game or application based online store to promote the use of DB instead of the evil(j/k) BB.

Whats The Catch:
Yeah you've heard it before no catch, you recieve 100% of the profits. No fee for anything not even credit processing. I Should say 100% of the sales.

A 100% Are You Crazy:
Thats between me and my shrink, yep free online store and you get 5 POP3 E-Mail Adresses just for posting you game in the store.

What Else:
Its a credit-card based store that verifys the account instantly or so.

Why:
Again with the why, cause the more games on the site the more attention it gets, and more people there are more that will buy the software that sell there(my games). And i'de like to make the dreams of all those DB programmers who want to be able to sell they're games online but have a tight budget.

Questions:
(this is the part you fill-in)

That's a very nice idea Eddie, I'm sure a lot of DB'ers will take you up - hope you all make money from it.

If I was selling something, I'd definately consider that, I have no patience for that side of things, I'd rather give stuff away for free than have the hassle of credit cards etc.

Sounds like a great idea to me. Personally, I'd think about taking 5-15% of the profits, but it's obviously your call. Good luck!

Er.......No.

This is not right.

I cant say that Eddie is trying to rip anyone off, as I hope he’s not.
But if he’s not then there are some concerns I have as he cannot have thought this through.

No1.

On-line CC transactions cost money to set up for the company involved, (England/America) plus there is a charge levied against a CC when it is processed as far as the on-line store is concerned.
Are we to take it that you Eddie, as willing to absorb these charges?
Is so, then what terms are you going to offer in writing to the authors of software?

No2.

What is your “money-back” or “Exchange” terms towards your customers?
If you have them, then you must either defer payment to the Author for a set period of days, until the money-back/exchange runs out, or you have to have someway to recoup the money from the Author.
Similar to a “Sale or Return” contract…Tho NOT the same of cause. ^_^

No3.

Where is your company going to be based….. What country is it in and where is the server located?
I ask this as some country’s have very strange laws over copyright and for the sake of the author, their work must be protected from someone who just wants to get a load of software and re-package it and sell it on.
NOT that I am saying you would do that….But people should know how/where their software is heading.

No4.

What’s yours licence number for your business and IF its not your own server, then who is hosting.

I hope you don’t take offence at this, but your offer is just TOO good.
Or maybe I’m wrong??!!

angeleyes:

1. its part of the fee i payed when i bought this server

2. exchange/money-back its that once the autor has recieved the payment its in there hands and we are not responcible for what they do or how long it takes them to ship the software(this is on the site and in the agreement for the author)

3. US(sorry i forgot to say that)

4. my host is gisol as for the license i still have to deal with that, the hosts licence or do i have to personally get one as well?(i ask you cause you seem to know these things)

the 300$ a month is the cost for the whole store environment thing i received with my hosting package

i dont want to rip you off, i am a generous person, that has money

Ok Edd...... Thanks for that.

Just a few points tho:

1. its part of the fee i payed when i bought this server
Ok, thats fine, but they have to pay a bank or clearing house too.
It works like this:

Buyer-----Your site(or your Host)---Processing firm

If they have told you that it is all in the money you paid, then I would be asking them how many applications for a CC you have pre-paid for.
Think about it.... Your site may not get more than a few applications, and if that is the case then fine, your host will not be out of pocket…..BUT it may get 1000s and 1000s of CC applications.
If this does happen then your host will be charged for each one and if they have only budgeted for say 500 of them in the price they asked you, then they will be hit for money.
If this happens then they may pass the cost on to you and make you pay them….or close the shop by forcing you to set up your own CC processing.
Its worth checking out for your own sake Edd.

As for No 2.….. Are you saying that the Author keeps the software and they have to ship it?
You don’t keep any stock of their game…Correct?

And yes….It would be much better for you to get your own licence as if your business takes off you need to account for income/outgoings and tax etc. So register your business as soon as you can.
If it grows into a big concern then you would be better becoming a PLC as there are limits on your own liabilities you can put in force, that you cannot do if your just a Ltd company.

Thanks for your answers

Eddie Gordo:i wood like to have a my gamess on in a online store.but i do`t think where going to get 100% of the money.for a strat you have to pay VAT(i do`t think to it called that in the US it goods tax) on the game that like 18%? then the On-line CC transactions cost about 2%.so if the if the sarver rent is free that still leves 80%.

i think you better going to a lawwer and get him to draw up a contrat for you and the Authors this way the two of you a protected.

Oh yes, you've got to do something like this with a contract! Of course, net-signing can be a bugger

One point to consider...in the UK at least, your contract of sale is with the person you exchanged your hard-earned cash with. If I buy a Hewlett Packard PC from PC World, I don't go to HP when it breaks down, I go to PC World.

Thanks in advance.

Twats

Why say no, it is an advertising scheme for his game/products!

Hehe, no problems there, i pull em off all the time even if it will result in one or 2 more cutomers.

Mwhahahaha.

Good luck, think about share-it and them sorts of places for the accounts, Pay-Pal is also VERY customizable up until the point of payment.

angeleyes:
1. i pay a monthly fee for that to dont worry bout that

2. i can ship it but it'll be an extra fee the buyer must pay(not the author)

i thank you angeleyes i am glad for your question and learn much from them

as for a contract i do have a contract drawn up i had it made by the lawyer from where i work

and Martyn Pittuck:

yeah, the more products i offer the more people that, not only buy stuff from my site but, buy from me as well

still i was just offering a soulution to all(not all really) your selling of your game problems.

with an extra fee i can actually advertise(banners, pop-ups, those things that anoy you but sometimes draw you in)through Global Internet Soulutions and deal with it for you. just a thought.

@Eddie,
If this is a genuine offer, I think I should thank you on behalf of the DB community. This can only be a good thing

maybe not, but the offer stands.

again i have money and i like to spend it...

BTW you cant thank me on behalf of the whole DB community they must bow before me 1 by 1 and thank me as the DB god of sales
