Hi all

I am new to FPSC and want to create a custom window segment (with square leaded windows)to match an actual location. I have created frames and punches in Serif Impactplus, which sometimes work, but usually don't. The hole appears, but not the frame - and yes, I have scripted it as CSG immune.

Is there a tutorial anywhere on the complete process of creating a window segment? Lots of stuff on doors but no windows.

Another route would be to use an existing window frame and just edit the texture file. But...in the FPS and FPE files the textures all seem to point to TGA files (that I could open and edit in Photoshop, etc.) but when you go to the directory they are actually DDS files. I have no idea how to open or edit these.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Terry

Terryfic,

Welcome to the FPSC forum. To help resolve the issue you're having with .dds files,
you can also DL DDS Converter 2

Thanks,

Paint.net saves and loads .dds.

Hi guys

Thanks for your help. Both solutions worked fine, although the quality is better with the Photoshop plug in.
