It seems the project file has been corrupted the media was supposed to be included in the exe file. Will fix this and upload another one. Also will take some piccies of Star Rogue yes I posted an Star Flight 2000 picture this basically is because Star Rogue is a complete rewrite of SF2000.

It seems the old flamers are still here tho

This was one of the reasons that I dont come into the forum as much as I used to, since the 1.04 days of DB Classic the thing that ruined the forum was the flamers.

This project is an old project yes but I am still working on it and when its to the same state as Star Flight 2000 I will finally be able to complete the project.

Well, I tried the download, and got runtime error 506 - Could not load image on line 240.

As to the gameplay (I can only guess what it was in the last game from the screenshot you gave), will this be anything like Evochron Alliance, and the other open ended games in the Star Wraith universe? Ie: will this be an open ended space sim?

Edit: Also, the readme didn't gave much info on the game either...

Maybe a more exciting picture than a pic of nothing but space. The nebula's look nice, but there's nothing to warrant downloading this based on that one image.

Jeez people, what nonsense. It looks nice and open - exactly as space should be. What methods of interacting with the environment/AI are or will be available?

Basically in Star Flight 2000 you could communicate with every pilot, land on every planet, scoop fuel from the sun and hyperspace to any star system in any sector of the four billion by four billion sectors.

The gauntlet has been thrown down and I accept

I have uploaded a new version that allows you to select a seed for the system to be created from (value go from 0 to 4,294,967,296)

Please tell me if you find a system that is the same as another system as I would like to see if the system works 100%

One thing I always wanted to look at is making the system BIG (ie life sized planets etc). I will be giving this a test in the coming days and once I have anything to show I will post it up.

tested with Vista Ultimate (yes I installed it finally) and it works perfectly

Still working on the life sized star system engine thingy, once I have that down I will release another demo. Progress is slow because of real life issues drain my time.

Well progress has been made, now I am currently resizing the entire star system to cater for the real sized star system. The main reason for this is I always wanted Star Flight 2000 to be real life sized like Frontier and FFE.

Now I can resize the star systems I can have proper space stations that you can dock with (maybe even walk around), I might even be able to model the space ships themselves so you can move around them.

Exciting times indeed, I will update the demo as soon as I have more to show.

Well now the system size is getting there I managed to warp in to the starting system (77 a binary system) and ended up 329Au from the sun (about 493,429,952,939 km) and it took me half an hour to get to the suns. Im gonna adjust the jumpdrive to make it faster and maybe make the engines more 'meaty' too.

Ive also managed to get the cockpit to be affected by light not so it looks amazing (more so than before).

As soon as im happy with the engine as it is I will release another demo that demonstrates the new size. The basic system setup will be the same just MUCH MUCH bigger.
