Hey,
I have Vista Home Premium, and recently tried upgrading my directx to, obviously 10. I run dxwebsetup.exe, and about 2 seconds into downloading I get a pop up error saying "One or more cabinet files are corrupt, make sure such and such service is running (which I did)."

So, the only problem left is these cabinet files being corrupt/invalid/ and or missing their certificate. Anyone know what to do?

Well DirectX10 is already installed, but corrupt files could mean a number of things.

Try cleaning your temporary files with Disk Clean-up, then running a scan-disk (which requires a reboot to perform). Then run the installer again.

If that doesn't work, contact Microsoft through their xna forums (http://creators.xna.com) (where you get actual programmers not tech support staff) as there may be an issue with the uploaded files and specific Windows releases.
