I heard on the radio this morning that the writer's strike is finally over! This makes me really happy as there are only 4 more episodes of Smallville (The CW doesn't air Smallville every week ), 5 more episodes will be coming for this season. The 2nd season of Heroes ended way too short and the last episode of House aired last week.

They decided to end Volume Two "Generations" when they ran out of material (or decided to stop in a convenient spot) about halfway through (11/24 episodes). When they resume the story it will be in Volume Three "Villains".

I heard that Heroes Chapter 2 had other issues too, besides the strike. Some characters didn't catch on like they expected, and others had to have their storyline rewritten because killing them off as planned may have annoyed a few people.

It's a shame, as Heroes Chapter 1 is the best thing I've watched in years.

Ah, I see. The whole Adam thing was a bit odd.

I agree! I saw Volume One on DVD and couldn't stop watching. It was really great It definitely compares to the best of SG-1 and Smallville.

Hopefully they will now complete the remaining episodes of Season 4 of Lost. As I understand it there are only 8 complete episodes of Season 4.

Have watched first 2 and it's looking like a great season so far. Ep2 was specially great.

Boo!

Agreed Spooky, I love how Locke is getting to be even more of a rogue now. Hopefully we'll see more answers about the islands mysteries too, given Ben's new outlook since the new others started arriving.

Should be an interesting season, and the game is out soon as well which looks damn good - could this be the year that LOST wins back the fans it 'lost' last season!.

Lost has lost me long ago. Not a series you can pull into eternity, really. Heroes never interested me. Sorry, didn't like the concept.

Yehaw, time to get my Lost and Office on! Except now they still have to write and shoot new episode, so it'll be months before we start seeing anything new .

The first new episode of House aired on Jan 29th, then there was one on sunday after the super bowl and the last the following tuesday.

They were good episodes too.

haha!

House. Hear about it but never seen a whole show but just short clips. My first episode I watched was the one after the Superbowl.

I can sum this episode up as follows:

"A voyeurs experience in woman and their sexuality while on the internet and under the pretense of finding a cure for her illness"

Now with the writer strike over, hopefully better episodes of House and other shows. And less showing of tv shows like Iron Chef, Americans' Funniest Home Videos, and Deal or No Deal. ugh!!

thank gosh, I don't watch tv that much.

I find the humor in House to be unique and very very good, not that cheap stuff you find in most American TV-series. I suggest watching it from the start though as you kinda need to know about the characters to understand what's going on. It's the 4th season now.

Huzzah! Can't wait for season 3 of Heroes now and maybe they'll do day 7 of 24 as well. Though I don't have a TV, but I can always steal one of my flatmates and join them.

I still don't know why they were striking. All I know is they murdered Scrubs and almost murdered Real Time with Bill Maher, so if I'm ever in a position to do so, I'm not hiring any guild writers lol.

If I were one of them I'd have left the writer's union and gone freelance. Taken some high paying (overpriced due to lack of writers) jobs from desperate producers and retired early and young

good point Digital Awakening.

I only watched this episode of House. Because it was on after the Superbowl. My mom and my brother like House, and enjoy both Lost and this new one called the Sarah Conner Chronicles.

I don't like this doctor on House and cause he is arrogant and is a jerk. Mom told me that he is like this and has that kind of personality. His character is like that.

I don't watch tv that much....unless I come up and visit Mom and my brother. Occasionally, I'll watch DVDs from time to time.

I'm finally to start to catch up on Stargate SG1.
I finished watching all the episodes of Season 1. I love this show! Now, to get Season 2 on DVD.

Then hire me, don't worry, I'll charge slightly less than the hollywood writers (still a lot, but consider this, at least I won't steal ideas or think 'lets remake this' or 'this game would look good as a movie')

Whilst we're talking about TV Shows (and to avoid starting a thread about it), anyone watch that 'Big Bang Theory' show, just watched that on a friend's TV, it was surprisingly funny...probably a good nerd comedy. I actually didn't mind the canned laughter for once - all I can say is smooth guys.

Well, I figured it was money, just not sure how much lol. I mean come on, they work in television, how much money could they possibly need? lol then again, it is television . I dunno, it proves how Hollywood is, there hasn't been a mainstream film that I'd seriously classify as proper art since Hotel Rwanda. They don't care, so long as they make their money. In the words of Ghostface Killah circa the Wu Tang Clan, "Cash Rules Everything Around Me" lol. If I'm ever in a position where I'm sacrificing art and creative output for money, I seriously hope someone will care about me enough to shoot me and end my misery.

Yikes, didn't know they still did that, but I suppose sitcoms will never die... people need their camp

I barely noticed the canned laughter...I didn't notice it until I drew my face from the TV, it seem subtly put...in contrast to that episode of Friends I caught - *Suspicious lady pokes her head around*BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! What? Okay...move along now. Makes me tempted to watch Sweeney Todd again and be the voluntary canned laughter so people can see how horrible it usually is (especially on British repetitive sketch shows) 'Johnny Depp sings' bwahahaha, 'slits throat' bwahahahha...no doubt I'd get thrown out.

The first season of SG1 isn't really good. As budget goes up and the story evolves the series gets much better. I give the first season 3/5, the 2nd 4/5 and seasons 3-7 5/5. Season 8 sucks (1/5), I think they spent the budget on Atlantis instead considering they had about 4 actors left . 8 and 9 about 4/5.

So, I wrote in my first post that 5 more episodes of Smallville will be shot for season 7 (season 8 will most likely be the last). Episode 13 will air sometime in March, I'm hoping that they will do another 3 week thing.

The rumors for Heroes is that no new episodes will be aired until fall.

David Shore have said not to expect new episodes of House before late April or early May.

NBC have announced that Scrubs will resume with new episodes on April 10.

I thought they were really good, Digital Awakening.
I haven't seen any of the other episodes of any of the other seasons of Stargate SG1. And its different
cause I usually watch Star Trek myself. All the movies, and all the series. Except, I couldn't really get into Deep Space Nine.
Looking forward to Season 2 of Stargate SG1.

cheers

I know a lot of people who thought that SG1 sucked, they actually only aired one season at first here in Sweden and then nothing for years while in US it's one of the most successful sci-fi series ever.

wow!, Teal throws a vegetable at a thief.
Gotta see this, so I have to start watching all the seasons for the plot and suspense build up.
Probably threw it at him for the poor and bland acting.

Seriously, I'm deciding which to get. Season 2 of Stargate SG1 or the full game version of Titan Quest.
I played the demo and it was really cool

one mini series you all may like or dislike....
and I wish the Sci-fi channnel made more episodes is
the Lost Room.

I think he threw a vegetable because they could not afford any more weapon special effects

A whole season of SG1 is like 15+ hours non stop. I found that TQ was quite linear and repetitive. Still TQ might last you longer.

haha, yeah Digital awakening. How true

they spent a nearly all the money on all the other seasons of Stargate. Poor Teal and without his Snake bolt spear gun. Or whatever it was.

But again, the Lost Room is really good.

and I think you're right. Titan Quest would last me much longer. It took me three days and over 5 hours of play to complete the demo.
I have never spent so much time and so much addiction on a fun and interesting game. The only other ones were the Might and Magic series and Diablo 2. And also first and foremost, Wasteland.

The first time I bought and played this game on my Apple IIe, I played it from 12:00pm noon to 3:00am the next morning. And almost non-stop.

maybe I'll go rent out some DVDs from Hollywood Video and just buy Titan Quest. It comes with the expansion pack too.

I think the money from Season 8 was spent on Atlantis, as that's when that spinoff started. However, Atlantis have failed to excite me. Sure it was good for the first 2 or 3 seasons (can't remember).
