Wow. If I didn't know better I'd say that animated girl was real and just had some sort of softening camera filter over her. That technology looks amazing. Apparently it just scans a video sequence and generates the animation from it. No need to for any mocap markers or makeup or anything.

Usually the eyes give away an animation into looking fake, but it seems to have nearly all the emotion and depth as the actor in the corner.

I'm quite astounded, lol.

I had the laptop on my lap with the speakers on pretty high. My chihuahua was sleeping right here with her head next to the speaker. You can imagine what happened when the girl screamed...

LOL, that expression reel had me laughing my ass off.

They used this in Uncharted? Whoa.

Yeah the scream freaked me out too. I didn't want to warn anyone though because I think it's supposed to

How could like none of the geeks around here have any comment on this system? It's incredible how it works... At least to me. Maybe it's old news to some but I just found out about it last night.

It is very impressive. Some of the more expensive Logitech Webcams come with a program which displays a CGI character that emulates your facial expressions but its obviously not as accurate or complex as this system. Its fun though if you video conference with someone and appear as a talking dinosaur
