depends on how many ppl visit the site. I run a small site on my server pc. I got crapish internet but as long as u dont have files to download no1 will ever know

i used free webs before my programming company broke up.
i liked their old web page editor better though. How do you use your PC as a server????

Your best bet on a windows machine would be something like:

http://www.wampserver.com/en/

But if you actually use your computer for other stuff, you're best off just getting proper hosting from somewhere.
