hello!
i need help to get started with dark gdk! i tried to find some tutorials but i couldn't!
actually i have not even installed the software yet but i want to know first, if i would even be able to learn it!
i have programming experience, but not in C++!
i have no 3D game design experince, but i have 2D experience (flash/actionscript)

do you think i will be able to learn it?
and where/how?

thanks

Do I think you'll be able to learn it? Who the ... are you? I mean seriously dude - how can we answer if YOU will be able to learn it over someone else?

You learned Flash? Ok - there's hope. Start with the Visual Studio Express compiler - and try to figure out how the compiler works etc. Try some C+ tut's here: [href]www.cplusplus.com[/href] Learn the boring junk first - otherwise you'll get stuck every other command that does some C++ jibberish.

Play a little with the "Trial" Dark Basic Classic Download - just to get a tiny taste of how the 3d more or less works.... Just make object cube... try moving cube around, camera around, just play and experiment.

Get back into DarkGDK - make sure you can compile a wizard - the wizard demo has a little thing with oval orbs rotating - if you can compile and get that to run - you're at a good starting point.

Give it a whirl. In the future try to do better for Opening Subjects - and TRY to hit us with ALL successes and questions that are a little more specific.

This is a great community only when all the members are reasonable.

(I'm not always reasonable either BTW) Good Luck
