hello,

i've checked out this forum and read the AUP and it's pretty cool

but i wanted to know what to do and what not to do just incase i missed somthing

here's the stuff that i know

no spamming
don't abuse things
don't use too m uch txt talk
don't post in wrong places or pointless threads
try not to criticize too much

and that's pretty much all i know so if i missed something plz post.

and i do have DB and it seems cool and i'm looking for tuts.

was a bit of a give-away. Seriously, I don't know many people who read the AUP before signing up for for the first time. It's mostly common sense, and a wonder that people need to read it at all.

1. Both Zorek and 3D dude both used the same IP address and don't share it with anyone else.

2. They both have a similar writing style, even though in 3D dude's post it looked like he tried to hide it.

3. Every one of the rules on 3D dude's 'not to do' list, Zorek had broken during his short stay with us.

I might be wrong... but I doubt it!

If you think about it, what would you possibly need a second account for - other than to get around a slap or ban on the first, or wreak havoc on the forums with a 'disposable' account?

I had a feeling that's how you found out...
Also, the subject of his post was not on DarkBASIC, it was on the AUP. More than 3/4 of his post was on the AUP, and he only had one sentence related to DarkBASIC, and this sentence was:

I also found 15 grammatical and spelling errors in his post. I think there might be more, but I counted 15.
The majority of these errors were mainly not capitalizing the first word of each sentence, and not putting periods at the end! (He only ended 2 sentences with periods, but none of the sentences started with capital letters.

I'm not even sure if he read the AUP at all! He probably just listed the things that we told them that he did wrong. You said he missed just one, he missed a ton, not just one! No religious arguments, no uploading illegal content, etc. The AUP has every good forum rule that you can think of.

I invented a time machine in one of my games: The game follows a timeline, controlling the people and aliens in your city, and you can do things to them and control their destiny. If you did something wrong, you just go back with the time machine (which you have to earn) and change your error.

I had a dream about a week ago where I messed something up horribly, went back in time, tried to fix it, screwed it up even worse, went back again, really messed it up, then finally I went back in time where I made the FIRST time leap and stopped myself from doing that.
Then my alarm went off.
I have no idea how it ended. But it was very entertaining.

I don't know who Zorek is. But I went on to this thread to ask if he'd got Darkbasic and he was new to it too. I've had it scince December and i still can't do it!

Took me 6 months to do anything vaguely 3Dly acceptable. You're still young.

TDK's been doing it for years now, and only through years of practice has he become a DB master. <Revers and bows>
