Very nice. Could come in handy some day.

Darkness, you haunt me. If I give in, I would be an monster beyond imagining. Light, you guide me. Thanks to you, I see past the nothingness. Life, I choose to live in the light.

10...Havok was created in 1998

How does Havok work? Will be seeing a wrapper for DB Pro do you think?

Current version of Havok is very neat indeed.
Focuses far more on physics components rather than the extras others do, giving move flexibility to developers.

I've always liked how they've had features ahead of the public technology curve, allowing you to make use of future technology without re-writing code. Plus you can choose how much or little you want to include, which doesn't mean you have the entire physics engine working at once unlike others :coughPhysXcough: so you can only use Rag-Doll aspects and it'll be fairly uncostly especially in their basic form.

If you see a DBPro version though, depends on if anyone wants to compete against DarkPhysics doesn't it?
Newton just kinda stopped being supported a while back now, so the choice is ODE (TGC) or DarkPhysics (TGC); personally I don't see Havok unless TGC do it

TGC can't really release something officially if you can only use it for non-commercial projects.

Sure they could. Dark Physics was originally non-commercial unless you bought a license for umpteen thousands of dollars from Ageia.

non-commercial simply means TGC can't charge, neither can those who use it without the £50,000 license fee.

simple-as really

Somebody, not necessarily TGC, can charge for a wrapper to make it work in DBP. PhysX is free, you pay for the integration into DBP. But like you say, there's probably not much motivation for another physics solution.

Btw, its Havok Complete that is being made available, which includes Havok Physics and Havok Animation. Now all we need is Havok Behavior... But reading up on all the features I found in a pdf, I can say wow, this is going to be simply amazing when it comes out.

@ Lover of Games - Don't get me started... ha ha.

Anyhow, how likely would Havok be to say yes to me making a plugin for havok and selling it?
