Hi everyone,
Having probs uploading my file to the forum using the attachment process and uploader.
So, rather than "gripe" about it, Ill have to do this the hard way.
Oh welll...

I made a new "M60-submachine gun" the manual-way that has just been released as a "test-version only". And its available for download from my site at the bottom link only (just a one-time download link..).

It fires straight and true, and looks ok. The only thing is, is that it doesn't yet have animations (like weapon kick, etc). But everything else works incl the hud, etc. So try it out and let me know in this new post eh?!

Thanks one and all.

Here is a simple screeny below:

Ash grinder, with your permission can I animate this and post it up on here?

EDIT: Sorry, I can't open it up in my 3D modeller. Also, it's too high poly for FPSC. Sorry.

...ah yes, the 40 lbs vibrator! What memories. Them's good times!

A little poly reduction and slapping an existing animation set on this puppy will make it a keeper, to be sure.

Gimme a little time, and I'll see what I can do. I'll post it here later.

Sure guys.
Yep "does' bring back loads of memories.
Like strapping a dynamite-belt around yer waist for the first time. Or being married to a snorring "jack-hammer'.

Life is truly greeeat!

Yeah, I didn't seem to realize that perhaps the ole' 60 ended being perhaps a little too high poly. Sometimes I use AC3D to make my models, and may have gotten a little to carried away with the "didvide-polygons" button (or divisions tab).

You guys fer sure can animate to its hearts'-content . I'm definitely curious to know how the animations would be created and what it would look like. It'd definitely then give me an example of how to do it, and make future creations of weaponry something to "shoot for".
Pls definitely post a remake of it here if you get the chance. I'd love to see it. This is a model for the forums to play around with

Take care and have fun!

Dude.

I downloaded and tried to animate it for you, but bumped into a bit of a problem. Importing into milkshape took 10minutes!

The mesh is over 100,000 tris.

Have you any idea how huge that is?!?!

That's like 33 colonel X's

The flat face on the shoulder butt of the gun is 8000 tris. It could be 3.

I'm gonna waggle a slightly accusing finger and say, did you make this? And if you did, did you get a bit excited by the smooth geometry button?

I'm sorry to be so harsh, the model is cool, the final result looks good, and the texture is passable, it's just that you have made it way too high poly.

Hi Butter Fingers, and members.
My apalogies. I was going to merge everything together w AC3D and try to lower the poly count but forgot.

Im sorry if anyone else had trouble with it too, it just has so many ploygons.

I am going to remake it better this time, but haven't had the time lately for anything it seems. Nonetheless, no despair here...the model will be remade and posted here when I get a spare minute or two. This time though, it will have far less pollies, and will be much more manageable for FPS Creator.
