looks cool. some thoughts:

don't worry about improving the models any time soon, if at all. they've got style and character as they are

for the 6th slot, i think you should hold that one open until you develop the plot. i'd bet you'd have atleast 1 "ah, that's it!" that would show itself from whatever the plot became.

that being said, here are a couple ideas off the top of my head:

1) "sleep". it looks like 1 of the screenshots was a night one (or is that inside a cavern, etc?). only allow "sleep" at night/timed whenever... during sleep, allow for any very basic minigames you might think of. some dream themes:

a) "being chased" - basic chase minigame. pacman/simple maze game?),

b) "flying" - (!?). maybe let us fly over the map/region for a little and do some aerial recon or just enjoy the view?,

c) "giant" - put a "huge" version of our character on a small map and let us stomp on some baddies. think "whack-a-mole" type minigame. you get it.

2) "cook". when near a baddie we've slain, random chance the "cook" button activates which lets us set up a quick camp fire... 15 seconds later give us a chance to produce some edibles that might have healing/revitalizing properties for use during our adventures.

otherwise, looks like a good start. keeping my eye on this one

!!!Update!!!

finished the plot and title name. Is there a way to change the title of this thread?

Inspire: lol, thanks

VN: thank you. the sleep action is a good idea. it would be a good opportunity to put in some mini games and maybe even videos that help the plot move along. i also like the mini game ideas. the only thing is that if a mini game was too hard i hated it,and if i liked it i would want to do it again and again. it is hard to please people with mini games. Jack 2 & 3 are good examples of this. the mini games where really hard and annoying, and occasionally not even fun.
cooking is might also be fun, but the problem with that is all the stuff you have to do and the inventory space it takes up. if i add all that i might end up with something resembling runescape, like chop down tree, get wood, light fire, cook food, eat food, ect. but what the heck, im just thinking of the cons. these are good ideas.

thanks for your support

Looks really good Tea Spoon. Also, in your first post you mentioned that you hadn't started

Just hide your sprites and then paste them in the correct position.

If you do this it will still work, you will just be able to put text over it.

DB PROgrammer, does that really work? That's awesome! I mean, it's obviously better to use a graphic text system but that could be good for people like me who arent quite ready for that. Thanks!
