ok i got a question... I'm writing a batch file and I need more then one dos program to open and stay running during the batch file's execution...the problem is that for the batch file to continue the dos program has to finish(because it's in the same command prompt window) How can I have these dos programs execute in their own separate world?

Open a different shell of command.com for each program. It's that long since I did it, I can't remember what to put though!

repeaditly open solitare, or sol.exe, i did that to my freinds computer hahaha he had to format the disk, and to this day he still dosen't know it was me.I also did it to a teachers grade computer on the last day of the term(long story short....my grades were nice).

hmmm i tried this:

COMMAND /Y /K mycommands...

but it didnt work it still stays in the same window...and in fact..i have to use the exit command to exit that shell..to continue my batch file

I think it's the START command that you want ... it's been a long time since I wrote anything in batch for DOS.
