Hi all! Yet again a "YAY NEW COMPUTER" topic
Here we go:
Well, yesterday I bought a new computer since this one pretty much... Err... Sucks. 700MHz, NVidia TNT2 And the rest I would'nt even tell... It is now 8 years old!!!
But here are my upcoming specs: (It only needs to ship)
Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4 GHz (!) Q6600
Asus NVidia GeForce 8800GT
Asus MotherBoard P5B (does not actually say something to many of yours )
Asus DVD-Player
Buffalo 2 GB DDR2-Memory
Maxtor DiamondMax 21 250GB Harddisk
And some other things. All for EUR 675,-!!
(no screen included, I already have a good 1 )
Tell me what you think!

Thanx!!

Jeff

Nice pc.

My new pc I just built for myself;

Antec P182 case
Corsair modular 520W PSU
MSI P35 Neo2-FR motherboard
Corsair 4GB PC2-6400 RAM
Intel Quad Q6600 95W edition
Leadtek 8800GT 512MB
Logitech MX1000 wireless laser mouse
PC Line keyboard
Icy box SATA removable drive system
2 * Seagate 160GB SATA drives
Samsung lightscribe DVD writer
Sweex internal multi-card reader
Win XP Home SP2
Win Vista Home Premium
Samsung SM226CW 22" widescreen LCD

Total Cost = £1150

Playing Call of Duty 4 and HL2 on a nice big screen with a nice graphics card is so enjoyable.

You beat me there

Today I called to Alternate (my computer shop) and they said that when they ship it today I can have it by tomorrow... But I don't think they are able to send it. If they send it tomorrow TNT post (our mail) will not be able to send it by Saturday and Sunday.

WAIT!! I got an email right now... Opening... YES! THEY SENT IT TODAY!! WOOOOHOOOOO FINALLY I CAN SEE WHAT SHADERS ARE!!!

Thanks every1!!

I just came off playing Oblivion at a very solid 45FPS on:

AMD Athlon XP Single Core 1.8gHz
8x 128Mb DDR-100 cards = 1Gb, quite fast because of seperation (some on a PCI extender I found in a junk shop)
1x Maxtor 41.1Gb
1x Maxtor 79.6Gb
1x Seagate 475.5Gb (attached to PCI expansion)
1x Samsung CD-RW (attached to PCI expansion)
1x Generic DVD-RW but not R (attached to PCI expansion)
1x nVidia 6200 128Mb (AGP 8x, no SLI)

No overclock, nothing.
Unfortunately I haven't enough graphics memory for full distance land - if I enable it, the land underfoot becomes corrupt.

I fail at life. No, really.

How did you manage that? Only because the memory is splitted?? Wow
Nice one!

Thanks to Track & Trace (with it we can see where our packet is) I see that my packet now lies in Amsterdam. Well it's 10km from my current position, Almere
