Yeah, they always take a little while to update that.

Anyway, great issue as always TGC, and congrats on the partnership with Intel, freakin' awesome work! Shame I didn't get to see you guys at the GDC.

Nice issue, but I didn't like the loud sounds from the movie autoplaying when the issue loaded up.

All of the videos are set not to autoplay. So something else has interfered to cause this. Would be useful to know what browser/mail client you are using.

Those videos autoplayed for me too. I viewed the newsletter in Firefox (2.0.0.12) and it used Windows Media Player 11 (11.0.5721.5230) to embed them.

Great issue, even though the sudden engine noises made me jump!

From the description of "engine noises", I'm guessing it was the wmv files at the end of the Spitfire Maverick article? There are 2 typs of video this month - the TGC hosted WMVs and the YouTube videos elsewhere.

That's right. The YouTube ones worked fine and wait for a click before buffering/playing. The WMV files started downloading immediately (nasty for those on dialup I expect) and play as soon as they have come down. I am guessing the audio would have been compressed too much and you would have lost the effect you wanted to demonstrate if those had been converted to Flash Video (YouTube) so I am not sure how you would fix it.
