Is there a script or setting for FPS creator so that when you beat a level you will lose all weapons that you had in the last level?
I need this really badly for my game.

AirMod has a script command to do that. But... nothing in the official FPSC versions. Not yet, anyway.

I can't believe you didn't see my thread regarding this. It is even above this one. Anyway go to:

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=131610&b=23

and you will find the help you need so the player will drop all of his weapons before going to the next level.

What about weapons received from enemies?

I haven't tested that but if it doesn't then we need to create a game where the enemy can't drop a weapon for the player to pickup. I know, that's a work-around but that's the only way to make sure the player doesn't pick up enemies weapon.

Addendum:

Of course it won't work. I just had a brain lapse. Just can't let the enemy drop any weapons, I guess. It is apparent that we aren't going to be able to have everything. Maybe in the migration? Who knows.

I'm hoping Lee will take my idea of creating scripted weapons instead of hard-coded weapons. A whole new world of opportunities would open up then.

Not to mention, it would pretty much fix the playerdrop command completely.

I hope so too; but then, there's a lot of things I hope for.

Lee should also impliment a physics system for weapons, or just let them operate within it as well. Think... You could have a weapon like a gravity gun.

I know this has been said, but more camera support would be great as well. You could have a camera on your weapon, and have it turn around corners. They have real weapons like that in the real world. I know it would be difficult, but positionable cameras would add a lot of versatility to the gameplay mechanic.

I'm not trying this because I'm not working on script ATM, but it seems that you should be able to add a couple of lines to any enemy AI script that detect if the player is pressing one of the peek keys, and if so to loop for a second. That would have the effect of peeking around a corner and not being seen.

Now of course this could be abused by pressing one of the peek keys while in a firefight, so once it is used, it would have to be ignored (only works once).

Anyway, it's a thought.

Best.

No, xplosys, just make it something like this.

:state=4,scancodekeypressed=q,plrcanbeseen:Rgular Fight Script
:state=4,scancodekeypressed=q,plrcannotbeseen:Know the player is peeking

when you peek, the player is still not visible. Therefore, if the player is in the middle of a fight, pressing Q or E would do nothing.

Yep. As with most things, it can be done with a little thought.

Best.

So would a gravity gun, like in Half Life, or G-Mod be possible?
