Windows is doing hateful stuff as usual. In a folder i have a bunch of stuff. Normally you can right click, and arrange items by a number of things- name date etc. Only on this one folder, it's offering me to arrange in order of "Album Name, Year" etc. Windows thinks it's effing Itunes or something. I can't figure out how to stop this stupidity. Do any of you guys know how to get it to behave? Thanks.

I think you have to go to that folder's properties and click the customize tab. Select "Documents (For any file type)" From the drop down menu at the top. Should do the trick.

I found it now. You have to go to the top bar, then view, and "choose details". Wierd. A mod can close this now, or we could discuss the question: "Why does Windows do random and counterintuitive stuff all the time".

Edit: BTW Thanks Dink. I tried that menu but nothing there fixed it. Would seem the logical.

The answer: because the way it was coded, wether they did it well or not is irrelevant, the way it was coded makes for anything good or bad it does.

Getting between me and my morning coffee is suicide...
