I cant figure out why, even if I copy and script thats supposed to work exactly it dosn\'t, I think it might be caused by the fact that I cannot save an Fpi File straight from Notepad to the scriptbank, I have to save it 1 place then cut-paste it into the scriptbank.

Can anyone figure out why this is?

EDIT: ALSO i just copied exactly the switch script (I opened 2 notepads copied the switch script pasted it in the other NP and saved it as .Fpi and when I put it in my game it still dosnt work.

I don't know what's up with that. Never heard the problem before nor have I had that problem.

I really like FPI Maker. It's not complete but it works well for creating FPI files, although Notepad should work as well as it is just a plain text editor and that's all you need.

....what's the setting in your Folders Options? Hide known file extensions?

I'm just guessing that you're opening the .fpi files, making your edits, and saving them actually as a [NAME OF SCRIPT HERE].fpi.txt file.

Try changing the setting in Folder Options to reveal all file extensions. Manually rename the files you've been creating to omit the .txt extension, and you should be fine.

If this isn't the solution to your problem, I don't have any other idea what's going on at your end.

Thanks,

Seth Black

I think it might be the file you are saving. Try saving you scripts into .fpi format.

in notepad, when you save as. select " all files" instead of "txt.

then add .fpi to the end of the file name

example- zombie.fpi
