What year is it over there--- 1997? The only places here that won't take credit or debit cards are Chinese bubble tea shops. I think there's some major unclaimed taxes with those places

Pretty sure the only place I've seen in the last decade or so that doesn't take a card is M&S. They like stood by their (old fashioned) guns that you couldn't use credit cards (debit was fine I think), but even they converted a couple of years ago. Even the local corner shop will take a card. Maybe he means where he lives. Perhaps it broke down, cos even where I come from (sheep and grass and thats it) pretty much everywhere takes cards. Or perhaps they won't take his cards...

McDonalds doesn't take debit or credit, period.

We have to use cash, whenever we go, where ever it's located. Really irritating.

Fair enough I'll take your word for it. Doesn't help I haven't been in one to buy anything (been to nieces birthday bashes) for about 20 years. Seriously rubbish food (for want of a better word).

Cheers

I'm actually kind of excited, because my change bin is halfway to wear it was when I first made this thread. Which means I probably have around $20 in there right now. Sweet!
