Hello everybody!
I am making a game where im playing some music too.
The problem is the music wont play!!

This is the code i used:
load music "homeland.mid",1
load music "lifetime.mid",2
load music "survivor.mid",3
play music 1
Whats wrong with the code?
I have checked the names, and i have checked if the sound works in WMP and other media players.

There have been instances in which Midi files don't work, but I'm not sure of the cure. Your best bet would probably be to convert the Midis into MP3s.

MIDI files are an 'old' format and when they don't play, the problem is down to the sound card driver setup on the machine you are having problems with.

Many motherboards have on-board sound cards and MIDI playback is often turned off by default in the BIOS.

As INH says, it's better to forget MIDI files and use MP3's.

@bergice
Yes they are smaller.

And it plays in those, huh? That seems weird. Makes it seem like it's more of a DarkBASIC problem.
What version of DarkBASIC do you have? Is it the enhanced version?

Enjoy your day.

Annoyingly WMP likes to turn the MIDI output down when it is not playing anything.
