it's not officially out of Beta testing yet, and so many people have so many different versions - i didn't even know they were working on it as i've only just been given it by a mate.

they've not officially released it yet, this is still a preview not a retail version. (but atleast it ain't a beta, i can never connect with them)

waws looking around and should be officially released late next week... with 6.0.6 (above is 6.0.5)

you know image bgds have been around for ages.

In linux you can have animated fish swimming across the desktop while you work, not tht I can understand why, but its available.

run everybuddy on mandrake if you want access to all the im channels.

Y aim msn etc..

I hope 3dtop becomes apart of some Os soon.
Im tired of a 2d OS workspace.

yeah i've seen them... but i've yet to see one impressed with.
remember alot of what i do is 3D & 2D editing plus 3D Programming and it takes alot of power when your running things in debug etc...

if i was just doing simple little things like most guys here, then probably be a case of having a less inanimate background to just stare at like the new Windows Series 9 Background - but as it stands they take alot of power that really could be put to better uses.
i run Windows Media Player Series9 all the time with SRS & Dobly 8.1 on which takes alot of power too.

stuff like that just seem a waste to me, especially at resolutions that i run. Best improvement i think that was made was see through text for desktops, anything else and it just doesn't bother me really

lol... well i've kinda lost my MSDN Beta Section password (again)
i swear i've gotta start making postits with them whenever i set one up so i don't forget them, automatic password saving has spoilt me.

so i kinda missed out, i knew it was being developed - just no way to get it.

same here , around 1-2 weeks. I've been using the webcam function, pretty fast in comparison from Yahoo Messenger. But then again, i can't get the Voice to work yet.. oh well, just need to wait for now & be happy with wat i got so far..

(if there are anyone who got the Voice thing to work, i appreciate it if ya'all tell me how)

yeah but i have a think against not using software that isn't official ... sides i know Microsoft too well, early beta's are worse than the code i produce

Oh I dont know - its usually quite good - although see below :

I was originally going to help Beta test DirectX9, but I didn't fill in the rest of the forms etc as I didn't particularlly want it screwing up my machine. I did try the beta of Office XP (managed to 'con' it out of them) - that was quite stable.

That thing certainly looks better in green, although it looks like it'll throw up at any moment.

Good news everyone! I really am THAT good...
