A few tears spilt in the server cupboard today. God is going to have to learn to play dice now

I still have all of my original Gygax AD&D stuff, circa 1980-84, in a box in my basement. Shame about him. His works are influential to say the least.

Yes, it is a sad day. Me and my mates will have a toast to him at our next D&D meeting this weekend.

I will use my level 20 wizard to cast true resurrection and bring him back to life... or... something like that... I haven't palyed D&D in years, so I barely remember what the revival spells are... But yeah, really sad...

But, on the bright side, you MIGHT have just inspired me to start playing D&D angain! ... ... Or is that a bad thing? ... hmm...

...but I am the ferret king!!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! tremble before my ferret minions!

I feel bad for saying this, but Steven Colbert commented on this guy, something to the effect of:

The inventor of Dungeons and Dragons died yesterday... he will be missed. How much will he be missed? [Rolls a dice] Twenty!

I don't think he would mind being sent off that way.

I guess this is one quest he won't complete. Sad day in gaming history, considering D&D is a precursor to video games.

I hadn't heard about him until I read this thread. Well, I'm no fan of the D&D system.
