My brother spent about 4 months of being completely obcessed with that game. It would have f**ked up his life if it wasn't already f**ked up.

If you can't beat him, use a stick;
If you still can't beat him, use a brick;
If you still can't beat him, don't call him a prick!

I used to own one of the biggest Player Ran Shards of Ultima Online, it's dead now. http://www.dob2.com/ DoB1 was probably the biggest but buggiest of the two, averaging 150+ players on at all times at it's peak.

I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.

I never played UO, and I don't intend to because I either play Neverwinter Nights or Warcraft3, and I'm still into TFC a little.
(anyone ever heard of [EC]Enforcer?)

anyway, I heard good things about UO, but I guess it's too late now.

TFC? you can't compare TFC a class based team multiplayer game to an MMORPG - sorry but they're totally different beasties.

its like comparing a dog to a cat, you just can't do it

I would have liked it a while ago, but the graphics and system are just too outdated for me to get into it anymore, sadly...

Raven they dropped it (as far as I know) because Richard Garriot (Lord British) left and EA took over, for some reason EA didn't see potential in it and they did a poll, most people said drop UO2 and just continue with Ultima Online (No idea why).

i know but Rich should've continued it... i was a beta tester and the bloody thing was so close to complete - then one day the server just went dead so did the site, no word, nothing.

if you like UO though but don't like the price and want better graphics (but only marginally mind you lol), http://www.runescape.com is what my brother plays alot
i kinda like it too, but there's a war in E&B right now (some of you may've seen it) ... its taking my full attention right now as the faction i'm part of is winning it hehee, that and i've got the biggest ship in the fleet ... always worrying that darren is gonna hand me the command console on Ceti-Alpha Station saying "yeah, it kinda got blown up"

Ick, Runescape. No offense to the lucky guys who are making thousands off of it, but that is one bad MMORPG. Not worth the time it takes to play. And IMHO the graphics are loads worse than UO, they just look like a mix of comics and MS-paint-drawn-figures.

Time is cash... I often just can't spare the time for enjoying freebies; the low entertainment isn't worth the valuble time, in other words. *shrug*
