well, we all know (well us HL nerds) that HL2 Ep 3 is highly inticipated. I just want to start this thread for coomon conversations and possible theroys about Ep 3 so heres what we know:

- You wont be visiting city 17
- You may visit the boriallis
- You will be in the artic
- SPOILER:

- You will learn more on Gman
- This will be the last HL2 game
- Advisors will play a huge role
- Appeture science is involved

Possible theroys:

- Portal technoligy may be used
- You may visit the Combine home planet
- White forest will be captured by Combine
- Judith may still be alive but will die
- You may meet GLADOS from portal
- Barney may be dead (I mean where was he at white forest?)

My theroy of the combine homeworld is becuase i found this little picture i found on google and is supposed to be concept art from
Ep3:

For the record, they said Episode 4 will be coming out after 3 so no it's not the end. then end of the current story arc, yes

They best not keep us in the dark about the G-Man again. Because I know Gordon went back in time and fathered his own grandfather, and the G-Man is really his father, and he is his own great grand father. Its just a theory however.

Do you have a link where they said that Half life 3 would be out after the episodes? cause i think i've read somewhere that episodes 1=3 are basically Half life 3 but rather then have us wait 6 years to make Half life 3, they did it in episodes instead.

the episodes are to keep everyone somewhat happy while HL3 is in development. Maybe they'll throw out another round of Portal as well along the way ===()

It's gonna be hard to release Episode 3 on the 360, because they cant really justify including HL2, HL2: EP. 1, HL2: EP. 2, and HL2: EP. 3, in another package deal, because everyone bought that thing last time, so either they need to make it cheaper somehow, or add more portal.

No counter strike in Orange box 2 unless Valve gets 15,000 emails saying it should. But I'm sure there will be plenty of cool stuff in its place.

That is not Combine homeworld concept art. That is Citadel concept art from HL2...

Also, the game is going to be set in the Arctic. Episodes are short, so i doubt that valve would add another completely contrastic environment into it.

In an interview with *can't remember his name* the guy behind valve was asked if we'd get the portal gun. He said that in ep3 we would get something better than the portal gun : D

And Portal 2 is now confirmed.
