Hi,
just incase noone told you: when the next patch is released for FPSC then there will be a built in model pack shop. Apparently all model packs must then be sent to TGC before they can be sold. This seems like an OK idea BUT what about single models? What about private requests? Will we still be able to open up the FPSC directory and place files in ourselves.

I'm assuming the answer is yes and that this is to get rid of noobs and they're problems and to give direct access to FPSC model packs.

Oh, and I'm sorry if it wasn't my duty to tell but I like to gossip and I couldn't keep myself any longer (you know what its like knowing something that noone else knows).

Oh, and could anyone tell me when the patch will be released. If its in one of those sticky threads that are 100's of post long then you can understand why I wouldn't bother to read them (again).

Thanks!

Oh, I'm telling you guys this so that you don't go releasing your model packs JUST yet. Wait until its been released, Ok?

The patch is already out, I'm trying my copy out over the weekend.

It's not actually going to be part of the next patch, its a separate editor upgrade.

It's not to get noobs to stop posting requests, its so that reputable media-makers can get direct access to their consumers.

The editor will be available to all, and the dealers will have a separate log-in area where they can view their live sales.

I think you will have to pass some kind of "interview" / portfolio review before TGC will grant you a dealing licence.

Just because the TGC store opens does not mean a change around here.Members are still free to buy and sell media according to the rules as usual.
Vendors who sell their wares through the TGC store can also sell them elsewhere if they wish.
Apparantly Butters has a leg up on us with this...wish I could check it out.
At any rate it's still being tested and I can't wait until they release it.

It's not just me dude, I think TGC have spoken to a couple of people who already have high-selling packs out there. I know for example that Errant and Jon have been contacted too.

But I think you're right, people will still come on here saying
"can someone make a milk bottle with a minigun on it, and put it in the TGC store, so that next week when my mummy gives me $5 I can buy it, and make my first commercial title MilkCarton Minigun Man".

And we'll all be like,
"Dang, didn't you read the sticky about not posting requests for the shop"

And they'll be like
"Oh, yeah I saw the sticky, but I don't like reading....by the way, what's an entity, how do I get rid of blood, how do I do vehicles, why isn't it faster and how do you make origami swans"

And we'll kill them
