hey this is my second post so don't get angry with the question because I'm brand new to this forum.

have you ever played bioshock? if you have you will know youn can get drugs to put in your body to give you superpowers like.....

Bolts of Lightning from your Fingers, Clck your Fingers and fire appears, Swarms of hornet bees fly from your vains ect.

I would like to maybe if possible have powers like this on one of my games are things like this possiable and if so can I please have some scripts.

(P.S I would also find it cool if you could find a way so my guy can pick up a needle and inject the drug to give him/her the powers)

Thank you.

Hmm....

You could make a needle model, create a weapon which simulates the "powers", and have the needle be a weapon pickup for the power...

The thing is I would like to be able to pick up the needle and jab it into your arm maybe I could pick up the needle as a item I when I pick it up a storymode instantly shows (without a story zone) and animate the guy jabbing himself but can you get the superpowers and do you think you or do you know someone you could make me a needle as a item you can pick up but not a weapon do you also have any scripts that can help PLEASE HELP I'M RUBBISH!!!

Thank you.

At least you're willing to admit that you're rubbish.

Joking...

Look, scripts like this haven't been possible for a long time. The cutscene seems easy enough to do, but you're going to be hard-pressed making the super powers if you aren't even willing to learn how to script before asking things like this.

Take it slow, man. Make some simple scripts, learn the syntax, get into into making slightly harder scripts, and maybe even give back to the community with new scripts you've made.

After a while, you'll be able to decide for yourself if a script is possible or not and we can save board space on these forums.

Here's how you go about what you want to do, and as harsh as this may sound... it'll benefit you in the long run moreso than getting a script for free:

1) Look up the Tips n Tricks guide for FPSC made by Nickydude
2) Read through it, especially sections about Scripting Tutorials.
3) Start trying to make your own simple scripts. Learn what works and what doesn't work.
4) When you have simple questions, do a search of the FPSC boards for an answer BEFORE you make a new post about it.
5) Once you've learned how to script decently, then you can start work on how you could go about doing what it is you want to do.

That's it. That's how most people do it themselves. You can't depend on people here to help you out with everything in your game that needs a script.

Mate, for starters, try things like basic edits of original scripts, don't leap into the deep-end and hope you'll float....

I agree with coffee grunt and PlystirE. However, in another one of your threads I did help a bit and hopefully that might get you started. Also, a great free program called "FPI Maker" (do a search for it) had helped me tremendously when I started making scripts. Also, look at the stickies and especially the tips and tricks guide by Nickydude.

BTW, the scripts I helped out with in the other thread were just slight modifications of the original scripts for the door and hurt zone.

A hornet is a type of wasp, not a bee

I don't have a clue how you could replicate the Bioshock powers in FPSC, by may I inquire why you want to? I know Bioshock is a good game and everything...but the powers were good because it was sort of original...ripping off a Bioshock feature will just make your own game look less creative.

an easier way would to do it like eldoras spellstones, you couldn't freeze or set people on fire, but you could deal damage and use a decal to make it look like electricity or hornets or whatever

the idea of weapons makes sence, but as a secondary attack with a weapon already equiped? I dunno...

probability states that I will know how this sentence will end FRAPPACHINO!

I wanna do it not to rip it off but I have a book full of ideas for the powers (i.e freeze fire to walk through it0 and it would be awsome to have an entire multiplayer game with just superpowers.

just model two arms with a needle in one hand, then have the reload animation be the needle [plasmid] being jabbed into the hand, for the fire animation, have the hand animate like a star wars force push type motion, then make the fire decal be lightening and change the fire sound. simple, but a lot of animating that I don't have time to do.
