Technically, I think Counter-Strike was voted the best online game, or has the most players.

However, whilst I have quit Ultima Online (http://www.uo.com/(3rd or 4th time)) I always get sucked back in (not the official servers however, I create my own, I created one of the biggest UO shards/servers ever, well enough of that).

I'm currently waiting for Horizons (http://www.istaria.com/) to come out as it looks very, very promising, you might want to play CS until that is out and sign up for the beta.

Shadowbane looked promising as well http://www.shadowbane.de/ or http://www.shadowbane.com/ if you are in the US, however I got bored waiting for that to be released.

Middle Earth Online also looks intriguing. http://www.lordoftherings.com/index.jsp

I've never really played/looked at any others sorry, you might want to pay a visit to http://www.stratics.com/ and check out the games on there.

http://www.stratics.com/ times out everytime i try to access, might just be a prob with the server at the mo.

Star Wars Galaxies is due for releace in december in uk.

Will prob go for Ultima Online, wheres the cheapest site you have seen it (UK)

I liked the mod ,Action Halflife i think theres not too many playing it nowadays though. Going back to when I had 56k ,the Delta Force series are good for a laugh.

CS is NOT the "best" online game, it's not even a game, it's a mod for a game. It's just the mostly played mod/game on the net, because it's so easy to play it, and servers are everywhere. In fact there's probably more servers for CS on earth, than there are viewable stars from your garden on a clear night sky :o

I personally hate CS, hackers and cheaters spoiled it, and I don't trust anyone in it now, regardless of what server side anti-cheat progs are running =/

By the way, anyone here tried AO? (http://www.anarchy-online.com)

I play that quite a lot, and it's a great game to play, all in lush 3D too =).


Hmmm, the BEST online game? Tough one to answer I'm afraid, but I'd personally respond with Natural Selection, which is another Half-Life mod. (http://www.natural-selection.org)

Aliens or Marines, pick a side and get this: you actually need barins to win it =D, so go away CS players =P

BF1942 is very addicting, and I can't wait until Secrets of WW2 expansion comes.It will be very interesting to see how the gameplay is effected with jets, and rocketpacks.

Also can't wait until Battlefield Vietnam comes out.

UO play UO cuase UO is UOish ok ill stop now
(i play UO runs good on 56k cuase i have 56k is u play im on Pacific shard )
i cant play BF some reason i played one game before tho it was over before it begun

Good deal at best buy tomorrow for the WC3 expansion. $34.99,with $10 rebate(not sure if it's mail in), and an action figure!(lol)

Check your local dealer, and purchase it.Then we can form a huge DB/DBP clan on warcraft.It'll definitly be worth buying if you already have warcraft 3.
