Which website?
Did you install it properly?
Or is it the demo/trial?

These are the things we need to know.

It does not matter where you got your copy from, or how. The only way to get version 1.2 right now is from your Purchase History, but only if you purchased DarkBasic direct.

For everyone else, it appears there is no available date for when the download will be put back up. The original file included a bug that needs to eb worked out and, with the launch of FPSC X10 and updates to DBPro, i'd imagine TGC have their hands full at the mo.

If I remember correctly, the update was actually created by Shaun of StarWraith games, but was readied and released by TGC. So, it may take time before TGC even have a viable way of fixing the patch.

Thankfully, I got the patch before it was taken down, having bought my copy of DB back in 1999 or 2000 in it's original big box version. I must say, however, not to put off any projects or feel otherwise compromised for not having the patch, as it's only real updates are to lighting techniques, DB's handling of temp folders, and 2D refresh problems.

If, however, you are running the original DB with no updates whatsoever, then I reccommend getting yourself a copy of the enhacement pack (mine came with the retail copy of DarkMatter), which updates DarkBasic to 1.13 enhanced. This patch is a big update, including multiplayer commands, memblocks, and a whole lot more.

I have the enhanced pack, but I really want version 1.2 - when will it be back up? I got my DarkBasic when it was distributed by FastTrak Publishing!

Don't even think about reading my posts...

Dang it, I used another email address to order my copy of DBC. Well technically my parents ordered it for me using their address, so I'll have to ask them to upgrade it as well. What a pain!

Thanks BigAdd!!

Actually it was done by myself for StarWraith games and released by TGC.

I'm not sure yet. I'm in the middle of too many projects to consider it at the moment. Besides trying to improve my current products, I am also deep into development of my 3D Character Maker application (which I would really like to finish someday!). There is also the possibility of a cool *top secret* project on the horizon that would really shuffle my priorities. It doesn't look likely that I will be able to do anything with DBC in the near future, but who knows what will happen?
