It depends on the University you are applying to. Think which University you want to go to, then scope out the required grades. I can imagine most of the Universities would like you do do maths at AS

Go to the University website and look. They will almost always have their requirements right there on their department homepage.

In Australia, we have a ranking system (called UAI - University Admissions Index) based on the marks you got in your last year at High School (Called HSC here).

They then have certain pre-requisites such as having done 3-unit Math (whatever the equivelant to doing linear algebra, etc, is).

Everyone who applies gets put into order based on their rank, and the top ranking ones are admitted first.
This keeps going until they run out of applicants, or the course is full.
That gives the 'Cut-off' UAI.

For example, the year before I applied for my course, the UAI cut-off was at 88.50 (rankings start at 100.00, and go down in lots of .05 till 30, then anything below that is disregarded ).

I got 88.85, and was accepted pretty quick

normally you just need a maths a-level though physics and computing can help make you stand out from the rest. that said though, i got an offer from a uni before they looks at my subjects and grades, i just wrote about all the stuff i've done with DBP in my personal statement, and they offered me a place.

I walked into a college interview with a DS bursting with Dark Basic screenshots, 3D models and animated sprites in my own gallery program. Suffice to say, I got on the course.
