i'v got it narrowed down to any thing under 1 second long. some say their half second long, and they'll play every time. one off the net reads .75 seconds; plays once out of 8 times i doubled clicked. all of them open up winamp, or VLC if i do a 'open with'.
thanks for the tip on 16 bit, though. don't know if i got anything to convert them ATM. any suggestions, any one?
PS i always figured i could, but today i tested and proved, i can use my MP3 player like a flash drive! took the 'random number, guessing game' to work with me today.
EDIT: just noticed, while listening to 'I'm on the Tv' windows called it 1m18s, Winamp called it 1m17s. it's just a one second different, but might explains my problems with some files shorter then 1 second.
EDIT: @Rudolpho: my little sound converter program does let me pick...alot. any idea on the Hz (i figure lowest, but don't know sound)? and i can pick stereo or mono. it can do 16 bit, and 8 bit too if that would improve the reliablity.
for all, i have found a way to explain my knowledge of sound. Sounds: i hear them, and when other people hear them too, then i know it's not just in my head.
Today is a good day, at least compared to tomorrow.
And every day is a good day to die, because then, there is no tomorrow
