Okay. Here is my first free mini pack that I put together. It's a basic first person shooter pack that contains a couple of reloads, shots, a no ammo sound, a weapons switch, and a track. Also, My bro. Benjy Wright helped me record a couple of the sounds. Enjoy!

Here are some sounds of agony that I made today for an FPS game or anything that requires killing. The zip includes ten .wavs of a guy letting out his last screams.

@Agent Joe- Thanks for the contributions to the community. I liked the samurai drum sound effect. I was wondering if u would please make me a monster growl sound effect? Because I was going to use my dog growling really loud, but it didn't seem to give that rich dark monstery persona growl. Any how, very much appreciated( the music) and look forward to more of your work. All the best,

Beastegaroyle

Well I listened to your growls today. You def pulled off the growl that I was thinking of, in the second batch. I want to thank you so here is a dragon wing flapping sound effect. One last thought, I had a question for you Agent Joe, What would a dragon breathing fire sound like or how would u make that type of sound effect?

I could use a rumbling sound, like a stone block getting ready to/ and then starting to fall.

And maybe some magical / spellcasting related sfx?

Thanks so much for your work Agent Joe. You're too generous! =)

I edited some drumset snares for the shots. The shotgun reloading is me loading batteries into an electric toothbrush, basically just used items from around the house.

Sorry for the delay on your sound effects requests guys... I'm currently replacing some of my equipment... having to do with the microphone.

Sorry it took me so long to respond; I've been away from home and sometimes a solid internet connection is a rare commodity to find.

But...

Agent Joe, you are one in a million! Thanks so much for my sound clip. I'll post a link to my WIP in a few days or so after I make it to show you what i've done with your clip. So you can see (i hope) that your hard work isn't going to waste.

Once again, thanks so much! If I could hug you, I would. Here's a mug to you.

@ Agent Joe. I haven't used any of your creations yet, but wanted to say 'Thank You' anyways.

I decided to play around with sound early this morning and have spent more time looking for free sound files on the internet then adding them to my training rpg.

if you haven't already made them, is there any chance of getting hit sounds?

stabbing, slicing, and impact vs. flesh is actually that I'v wasted most my morning looking for. that and a ooze hit (slime, ooze, jellies).

Thanks again, wish i'd looked here first. (your already listed on the title screen!)

(Edit) Had an idea on slime sounds, Jell-O made in a mold, then record the sucking sound when it's dumped out. also had one for impact slime, said Jell-O + 9 Iron...maybe Sand Wegde...

Thanks guys for your appreciation.

Here are a couple more request sounds.

@Anti human: I can make some hit sounds for ya. For a slash impact sound I'll need some meat... a really large piece of boiled chicken breast will work fine. I'll try the jell-o idea for the slime and see how it comes out.

i should figure out how the record thing on my mp3 player works, guy i work with was doing a range of accents today. even did the 'walking squish' sound like the guy in Police Academy.

I love the sounds (i'v actually used them now); but i'm having trouble getting any sound (not just Agent Joe's) to work 100% of the time (either in WinAmp, VLC, or DBPro). I've had any sound i use work, but some of them only work 1 out of 10 times they should play.

any thing i'm missing? Load Sound, Play Sound, Delete Sound; i had to put If Sound Exist around all the commands to keep the program running.

can't wait to try listen to this new stuff though. thanks for any help.

@Anti human: DBPro only scarcely support 24 bit sounds.
You should try to convert them to 16 bit first.

I can't say why it wouldn't work with VLC or Winamp though; are there any specific sounds you are having these issues with?

i'v got it narrowed down to any thing under 1 second long. some say their half second long, and they'll play every time. one off the net reads .75 seconds; plays once out of 8 times i doubled clicked. all of them open up winamp, or VLC if i do a 'open with'.

thanks for the tip on 16 bit, though. don't know if i got anything to convert them ATM. any suggestions, any one?

PS i always figured i could, but today i tested and proved, i can use my MP3 player like a flash drive! took the 'random number, guessing game' to work with me today.

EDIT: just noticed, while listening to 'I'm on the Tv' windows called it 1m18s, Winamp called it 1m17s. it's just a one second different, but might explains my problems with some files shorter then 1 second.

EDIT: @Rudolpho: my little sound converter program does let me pick...alot. any idea on the Hz (i figure lowest, but don't know sound)? and i can pick stereo or mono. it can do 16 bit, and 8 bit too if that would improve the reliablity.

for all, i have found a way to explain my knowledge of sound. Sounds: i hear them, and when other people hear them too, then i know it's not just in my head.

The only sound resolution that might cause trouble as far as I know is 96KHz. If you are unsure, 44.1KHz stereo and 22.05KHz mono is the standard.

As said, 16 bit works just fine for me and sounds good as well (you actually can't hear any difference in most 16 and 24 bit sounds), while the 8-bit format has the sound of it being played through an old telephone, so you would probably want to avoid that one.

Hope that helps

@ Rudolpho Thanks, i converted all of them but then decided to cut down on the amount i'm adding at a time so i'm not messing with sound for awhile.

@ Darling Nikki

hope some one double checks this, i messed with sound once, didnt work right for me; so others would be better source of intel.

Load Sound "Filename.fileextenstion", # (,-the number you want to assigned to the sounds.)

Play Sound #

Delete Sound #

above is a post from me on my problem with sounds. if your having issues getting the code to run try

had to use the above alot before i took all the sound out. haven't messed with it since so i hope some one who can actually get sound 100% of the time replies.

So, I decided to use it in a YouTube video. Don't worry, I gave you credit!
