To celebrate the grand opening of sycohost i am offering 10% off your 1st money of webhosting at SycoHost.

http://www.sycohost.com
Promotion Code: dc38vh

But Hurry, this offer ends on the 27th of March so act fast!

I am aware the site is still under construction but i am eager to see the reaction of the public. It will also help me find out if the plans for the hosting are alright.

So..can you also give me some feedback as well.

I don't really know but those plans have less features than 110mb for free. Not to put you down or anything-It sounds good. Good Luck with the hosting!

Your webhost does not look very professional or convincing.

I get 1GB storage, unlimited traffic, unlimited emails and 24/7 chat support on One.com for half your price. And they have been around for years, quite a reliable service. Why would anyone chose your offer?

you dont have to be a prick about it. They oversell there web hosting meaning if u use heaps of bandwidth and so does everyone else they will be in the s$%*. I dont oversell.

If those prices are in Australian dollars then I don't think its bad at all, for what you get. I take it the bandwidth is per month?
I think you need to put up some details about support though (e.g. email only, telephone support, 24 hour etc). Also something about where it is hosted so people know if its in a UPS supported, secure, air conditioned, daily backed up datacentre... or someone's back bedroom

From their own FAQ:

Quote: "Our unique set-up gives us the possibility to offer our customers unlimited traffic on their web space. Many of our competitors would say that this is impossible. Nonetheless have we since 2002 delivered this service to our customers. Today we have customers who have more than 25 million hits and more than 1000 Gb traffic per month.

However we do not offer the possibility for our customer to have their download-site hosted with us. A download-site is a site, where each single hit generates more than 1 MB of traffic."

Most customers won't generate even 1GB bandwidth per month. Heck, a lot of people just set up an email service or a blog.

Guys, mr makealotofsmoke has made other webhosting sites like this before, and all of them were reliable, and good. I'm sure this hosting site isn't that bad.

So where are all the other ones? Fell through did they?
I'm looking at getting a new web host. I'm on that free galekus one that was offered a little while ago, but I'm having a bit of trouble. Also I want a proper domain, not a sub.
Good luck!

Darth Vader:
I can recommend One.com. They don't offer everything but for a regular website you get more then you need and their support is amazing. Also they seem to be very good in terms of domains, I've lost 2 domains before due to bad hosts. They are also perhaps the cheapest host in the world, but then you can't call them on the phone. It's a big company that's been around for years so they won't just stop working, meaning you end up with various problems.
