A completely flat 3d object. It's basically a box in 3D.

a 2 dimensional square existing in 3 dimensional space which can be rotated in any direction. it is completely flat and has 2 sides

Ortu is correct - it's just a flat surface. It's definitely not a 'box in 3D', though I think INH didn't actually mean what he put.

It's a surface with all the vertices on the same 'plane' and consists of two triangle polygons.

In proper 3D terms, a 'Plain' in Dark Basic isn't spelled correctly, but we've all got used to it.

Haha, I seem to remember once when I was confused as to why a plain was defined as a 3D shape you told me it was 'A box in 3D space'.

If you can find the thread where I said it, you'll get an apology for confusing you.

I'm more likely to have said a 'A 2D box in 3D space' actually - which would be a more accurate description.

Yeah, I think that's what you said. And I've tried to find the thread but it had nothing to do with plains so it's pretty difficult, as you can't search messages, only threads.
