can somebody give me a simple and easy tutorial how to make a 2d platform shooter,just simply move the character with up,down,left,right and shoot with shift lets say and some simple enemies that throw fireballs,beacause i want to make my own first game

i see you joined in 2007? just not had any experience yet?

If this is your first game, and your in a simmilar mind as mine, you may find it easier to make a 3d game, then just wang the camera on as a side view - does that help?

lol - thats what I do. Can't be bothered with 2d - I think 3d is faster and easier to work with.

well, in DarkBasic i find 3d easier - i guess i havent really looked at 2d stuff so much but its a lot more work to get something working well isnt it?

Hi there, DJMaster.

Last months edition of The Game Creators Newsletter features the start of a new tutorial "Dark Basic Professsional Mastery" by Andrew Vanbeck for creating a 2D platform style game which will hopefully cover all of the points you raised. I would have attatched a copy for your convenience, but I stupidly lost mine. I'm hoping to get a replacement from TGC help desk.
