Its a game where in each level you must take down one or more hostile targets as a member of the local SWAT team, and you begin to unravel a secret plot by one of your targets (it involves zombies ).
So far the temporary name is SWAT because thats the first thing that came to mind, plus naming is one of the last things you should do. Its basically my "get a hang of the program" game, but i plan on actually completing at least five levels. The first, and only so far is an abandoned hotel that has been flooded. So far I have 1 of 4 floors done. I would just like some opinions and constructive criticism, plus I cant get my lighting right, so if you have any ideas please share.

Screens removed, not relevant anymore, to be replaced soon

Hmm....

You keep saying that there's bad lighting, well either fix it, or remove what's breaking it, (I'm guessing EFX?).....

Why is there tonnes of brown water in an office-ish place, and two thugs just randomly thrown in the mess....?

You need to think about location, what would fit in with this area, and what won't? Just because you can use water now, doesn't mean you must, I mean, I believe the Bloom is better, but you have barely used it....

ok ill just can the water, i was just experimenting. thank you

"Looking pretty good but the rooms look a bit empty."
not 100% done with the floor yet, i just ran out of ideas for clutter, but i will add more, thank you.

"You keep saying that there's bad lighting, well either fix it, or remove what's breaking it, (I'm guessing EFX?)....."
probably, ill check out what i can do.

"Why is there tonnes of brown water in an office-ish place, and two thugs just randomly thrown in the mess....?"
brown water was there to be gross and make it look abandoned, but its gone now, and the two thugs will be carrying on a conversation, i just need better placement.

"You need to think about location, what would fit in with this area, and what won't? Just because you can use water now, doesn't mean you must, I mean, I believe the Bloom is better, but you have barely used it...."
Thank you, I will take the water out, like i said and experiment with bloom or just get rid of it, and i will out in some more stuff that makes sense.

so far its all constructive thank you for the replies

Edit: ill post an update sometime tomorrow with my progress.

ok, my screens arent to good so im just gonna upload a quick build of the game, so far I have:
Taken out the water
Added better lighting (still not perfect but better)
Added more clutter, crates, and what not
Tried to improve some of FPSCs lacking AI with Intellimatter ( AI is no where near final and is still horrible but fixable, if anyone would like to give me a tip on how to change their range, cause view cone doesnt change that, they still see me from 1000 miles away.)
Removed bathroom to fit more with a hotel lobby theme, but kept door and shape to add a depth effect i guess.

I have not:
Done a lot of things

Things to look forward to:
Better Lighting
Better AI
Better and more fitting textures than "thug_1_d2.tga" for the thugs
Allies, whats a SWAT team without em?
Some way to progress story, maybe i can learn anim8tor and do some cool scenes
Multiplayer?
More levels of course
Less of a run and gun feel
More starting weapons like a shotty and some grenades
and Zombies! yes, they fit in the plot.

And something I forgot in the last post;
Setting of the level: Run down hotel crawling with drug dealers and addicts (hence the crates, messed up walls, out of place items, and well, thug models). The target in this level is a drug lord who has been on the most wanted list for some time, his location was just recently revealed. You have to take him down without hurting the innocent, or at least try not to hurt the innocent.
Im having issues with the attachment part so heres a link http://files.filefront.com/SWATa001exe/;9838775;/fileinfo.html
Lemme know what ya think, plz dont take AI into consideration, its just not ready yet, too knee deep in school work to work it out right now.

Instead of having enemies 1,000 miles away, don't spawn them until you want them to see you. They can even see you thru walls, unfortunately.
