Pirate, please do not mark your threads as [tutorial] when they are not tutorial matter! New users will assume that this is an acceptable way to code, when it really isn't.

1. There is no indentation, this is bad presentation practise
2. There are numerous bad coding practises throughout, some of which would cause the program to crash on a larger scale (exiting a DO loop with a GOTO, putting subroutines in the main game loop).
3. Some of the code is plain wrong. For example, if you enter an unrecognised command, the screen won't SYNC.

There are many more issues with this code.

Maybe a better approach would be for you to post your code for review from other users, to assist in your own progression with programming.
